Welp this was quite an episode. That idol can actually fight. I underestimated her a bit. The fight was okay I guess, pretty fast paced though.

I kinda like how they capitalized on a few of the moments when they showed the powers of the earthlings such as Daichi. Yeah, this war is definitely going to last more episodes. That idol's sarcastic way of fighting is amusing.

Glad to see that Teppei is okay. Daichi needing that resolve as the captain to save the Earth.

Earth Engine coupled with the Boosted Plasmagnum looked pretty cool. Didn't expect Teppei to survive the blast.

Ai finally gets drived out from Tenkaido before she causes even more damage.

Didn't expect Hirosue to trust Daichi with the responsibility of saving the Earth. I'm glad that at least the Ark Faction had its reasons to sabotage Operation Summer.

Well overall the episode was fine...

I enjoyed seeing Daichi's resolve in shooting, however, Teppei surviving that was yet another asspull... It didn't bother me too much because it was just a character that survived as opposed to the ones that saved the entire earth.

SaltyDog guy sort of turned around instantly... Meh... I knew he wasn't going to succeed in catching Hana as I said last episode because it's far too late in the series for another subplot to occur.

Overall, I didn't have much to say about this episode... Hana got captured.. Meteors happened.. Meteors defeated.. Hana retrieved... I enjoyed seeing the faces of people when they thought Teppei died though.

Okay, 1 thing that's worth mentioning. The fuckin planetary gears just sitting at a table in a public place... Do people around them just think they are cosplayers? xD I mean.. their outfits are pretty freaking ridiculous I almost burst out laughing when I saw them.

4 episodes left.

For a moment, I thought Teppei was a goner. Good seeing he survived that.
Liked how he threw a verbal jab at Daichi saying he would've fired 2.5 seconds faster.

I always look forward to Ai's catchphrase changing depending on situations. This time "Violent... Attacking... Ticket to Hell!" was great too!

Megane bastard trusting Daichi at the end was quite unexpected. Still don't like him though. >.<

Good episode. Operation Summer is in effect next week. Hopefully, they'll pull it off good even with Salty Dog getting in their way.

Teppei's death would have been a bit random here so I kind of knew there would be some way he'd survive although they didn't really explain how. A scene such as that would have been more at home in the finale but I guess here it proves Daichi actually has the resolve to do what is necessary to protect the earth. Still think the bad guys defection of sorts was a bit out of character but hey ho that's the power of Captain Earth!

One of the bombs is on his body. Hana got taken away.

Teppei went to fight against another enemy. Daichi had to choose to shoot along with Teppei. Fortunately Teppei is safe. That idol girl got discovered and KOed immediately by other people... such an anti-climax.

So that guy who capture Hana fights for the family, too.

It's not over with that group. Another robot coming next.

I actually liked Hirosue's sudden change of heart. Obviously it could have used some build up, but I think the fact that he was constantly shown as the uber typical douchey villain actually made for a stronger impact with his change of heart. We've only seen the arc faction as a corrupt organization with their own interests taking priority in the struggle to ensure humanity's future, and while you wouldn't expect the higher ups to be swayed by something so simple and genuine, it's only natural for some of them to look at the whole picture. We just didn't expect it to be this guy, especially since his hatred for Daichi and the team had beenshoved in our facedeveloping from the beginning. I think that's what made it good. It was probably the most human response we've seen in the show.

Didn't like much else about the episode. The development for Daichi was okay, but they only just built up to it a few episodes ago, so it was hard to really get anything out of it.

One of the best episodes so far, the anime is heading toward the end, but the plot has improved during the series and the characters evolved enough, I hope the next episodes will improve even more ..

I think it would have been better if teppei had kicked the bucket like I predicted last week, but eh for the most part no one had been eliminated prior to this (not even enemies) so that should have been expected.

I swear these episodes are getting shorter and shorter! The plot is progressing quite nicely, and this was a great episode! Definitely glad I stuck with it! (not that I would have ever dropped it!)

Plus, to those complaining that we never get character development...BEHOLD YOUR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!

I look forward to seeing how all this wraps up. I'm still pretty sure that Teppei will die before this is over...

Ugh, I hate this lameass plot.

The Salty Dog pervert who's been trying to kill off Daiichi suddenly turns tail because Daiichi just so happened to have the resolve to kill off his own friend to save the space station. I thought the ideals of Salty Dog were more indoctrinated into that dude for him to change his tune so easily.

Would've wanted Teppei to have died or something here, then perhaps Daiichi would have really been able to grow up. Thus far he's always been saved by anime plot-armor, it makes any and all so-called growth in his character complete contrived bullshit. He hasn't lost anything in his battles at all, there's absolutely no character growth in that. All he did this episode was pant like a dog until everyone started yelling on the radio for him to shoot the laser, and then shot the laser. Where's the character development in that?
In fact, even that Hirosue guy had more character development than anyone this episode.

The scene with the Planetary Gears eating in a cafe was unintentionally hilarious. It was hard to keep attention on them with the perfectly animated video of the idol chick in bikini playing in the background.

How the hell did Teppei survive that besides plot armor?

They had Cerberus, Sarama and Garmr, funily enough all of them are mythological dogs, I take it their ultimate weapon is Garmr. And Cerberus is back too? Holy shit.

Seeing how his Livlaster shined, it possibly means the Livlaster did something, maybe his own Ecdysis Mode? I wouldn't know.

Anyway episode was quite intense with Hirosue going wild, Ai using Zin's Singularity to wreck major havoc and finally the moment Daichi has to choose, and he opted to shoot, knowing he would kill Teppei, that was incredibly interesting to see. Instead of trying to look for other options like always, this time he went for THE semi-bad ending.

For a moment I did think Teppei was done for. This served to strengthen (possibly) Daichi's resolve for what is to come, and maybe just maybe Teppei WILL die indeed. At the very least Hirosue now sees he has resolve and puts his faith on Daichi.

And next week the Planetary Gears start their full assault, I wonder how that's gonna work. Maybe half of them attack Earth while the other half protects the Oberon. Also I wonder how powerful will Siren be, and what will Puck do.

I need a little explanation about how Teppi survived, but why quibble over the small details...

Once again in the cafe Moco shows that she is becoming a little more human as she exclaims over the effort that Ai puts into her music video...I still believe that in the end the major villain will not be the planetary gears but Puck, the ever-honest computer.

I hate it when the villian is using something that prevents the use of one single, very specific move, and the good guys are dumbfounded "oh noes, we can't use x, there's nothing we can do to stop him".

How about shooting him, but not killing him? Like, use less power, aim for the foot or an arm, whatever. Or knocking him out when he's grabbing Hana. She could also easily have knocked him out at the end where he was standing behind Daichi. But she's just standing around.

Maybe he could even have shot that detonator, usually detonators do not prevent bombs from exploding, but send a signal to make them explode. No detonator, no signal. Bit risky, but they pull off stuff like that all the time.

Most people are also not prepared for the guy the are aiming at to grab the gun etc.

And that that guy turned..kinda stupid. They should have have beat him up in the process of disarming him and throw him into a cell together with Ai (though she unfortunately escaped), so he can begin to understand what they are up against and what amazing feat the Midsummer Knights achieved.

Funny also how the Ark faction suddenly has a backup ship the moment one of their own may be the one to destroy the one we know about. Especially that guy was blarting how it's the only chance and they can not sacrifice that ship..but the moment he gets asked how come he would sacrifice it? "Oh that ship..thats no problem, obviously we got another one".

The whole struggle by Salty Dog/Ark Faction against Daichi etc. was pointless with that line. They need a ship, Salty Dog doesn't care about the one on the space station, so just give it to them. Maybe they'll really get rid of the planetary gears, all the better, and if not, at least they are dead without you getting your hands dirty. On the contrary.

On another note, I see the gears losing their ship and ego blocks and just becoming humans and then living normal lives. The short pants girl and sonic will probably hook up to.

It's kinda odd how they intro'd the leader of the gears and yet she has done nothing. Now they only have 3 episodes to conclude this.

You do realize that major bleeding can cause death right? Even if you shoot him at an arm or a leg if he bleeds it is the end, also he could detonate the ship manually by killing himself or activate the detonator somehow, no matter what, he had advantage.

And knock him how? She is not exactly physically strong is she? As for Hirosue, he may have mixed bluffs with truth, though as a matter of a fact and seeing how Kube had his personal satellite it is possible that the Kivotos is not the only ship but pretty much the best available.

At least I liked how Hirosue changed.

Pretty much. Well she mostly serves as a voice of reason character, even Amara can't argue back. Also he always struck me more as leader, at least he is the vanguard of the group and a full supremacist.

Music: Ok
Animation: More than Ok, plain awesome actually.
Story: crap, tastless shit, over abundance of cliches, its like a cliché party.

Seriously, I'm still watching captain earth cuz of respect to bones and their awesome animators who still draw mecha and all by hand, yet, their sure are unlucky... they got stuck with some pretty bad writers. For example: the turn-around of the salty-dog dude that kidnapped Hana, the Machine Godfellow who just talks with clichés.
The deus-ex-machina saving Teppei.
The sudden shed of tears by all of the Tenkaidou crew-woman who have shared a few moments with Teppei on the screen. It's like, crying out of manners, not because they actually feel that way. The writers sure aren't doing their best when thinking of ways to relate to the public the feelings of their characters.

I'll finish this show, even if it kills me. Just so I can rant about it with due knowledge.

What the fuck! What the hell kind of story is this? The turn that took the story, it makes me unhappy, because I have seen too many stupid things in the course of action regarding the situations to be faced by the characters.
Leaving out the drawings and animations always excellent, what you do not want in any way to work well, it is the interpretation by the protagonists.

So even after Daichi showed he's perfectly capable both in terms of strength and will, his ability is still doubted. Is this just the cynicism and spite that comes with aging or is something else going on.
Why would you go that far just to prove your point.
I'm glad Teppei survived, it'd be sad if after the previous episode he'd just go like that. I do think however that once the ego blocks are destroyed, Hana and possibly Teppei (despite having destroyed his own) might have to say goodbye to Daichi and Akari. Or perhaps Daichi and Akari will go with them. Who knows. Either way they should get on with the plot instead of this silly side stuff.
