Aluka's too damned complicated. I'd have to find some other way to save Gon.
By the way, how many vaults were opened before they finally got to Aluka's room?!
A family of assassins afraid of one of their own. Wow!!
Confucius said: If they don't consider Alluka as family, how come she has all those toys in her room?
Maybe because they want to keep her fixated on something,to keep her calm...they most probably do not want to know what she would be capable of if she was to ran amok.

This.
Alluka is interesting. That power it very intriguing and I wonder how she/he obtained it. Or better yet why are there such rules/restrictions/limitations on her/his power. I am compelled to know more about this.
and KYAAAAAA!!! >.< KILLUA as a young boy was so damn cute!!!~
a character that can cure gon is miraculously introduced
talk about plot convenience and asspulls
It was hintet at from the start of the series.
The brother. Not the wish full willing deus ex device
This all because Killua had forgotten his little sis, but it was very well planned and placed. And it was not miraculously introduced, just there was no need to appears before.

A bit curious why Alluka never makes a request with the family. Probably to keep them from harm's way.
But Milluki gained a wish with her, right? He should have done her three requests too. I think this only doesn't apply to parents.
Eventhough I read the manga, Alluka's animated "make your wish" face is still friggin creepy. And now I wonder how grown up Alluka will sounds like. Will it still as cute as when he was young or will it be kinda boyish... or maybe just like normal girls'...
Illumi looks good in casual clothes. What makes him change his fashion? Hisoka's influence? Ahaha.
So basically, the only way to really abuse Alluka's wish-granting ability is to have people who are basically willing to sacrifice themselves?
If that maid had been like "sure, here's my liver, here's my intestine, here's my spine, please heal me," then 67+ people wouldn't have died. I wonder what size of a wish healing fatal wounds would be, though.
Wow, Alluka 's power is lethal and very well thought out, I can't wait to hear more about it. I knew she had some kind of wish granting ability but I wasn't sure how Togashi was going to go about it,but he did it perfectly in my opinion otherwise it would have been too easy if she just needed any three requests fulfilled to grant a wish, I'm glad there are dire consequences in a way. Killua as a kid is kawai <3 and Illumi actually looked good with his normal clothes and hair. It was so creepy when I saw Alluka casually watch that butler burst into pieces, I don't really understand this thing about gon making a vow and taking the limits or restrictions or something off of him, will it be clearly explained later on? But OMG Alluka asking for the liver and brain etc was beyond creepy. And to think I started watching this series thinking it would be all light hearted and adventurous. Now I just need to wait eagerly for the next episode. Noooo!
Wow this arc is already turning out really interesting. I wonder what reprecussions the next person will get after Killua's wish. Alluka seems like a great addition to the show :D

yeah she could of, but its a gamble
you know how fast you would have to answer those request before you pass out or die.
I'd be like "WHAT ELSE YOU WANT, HURRY...ANSWER!" lol
Schools out, No job at moment, STILL hello MAL Eh..I will try to be online
insan3Spectre said: Btw, was it just the lighting or something or was Silva's hair blonde this episode? I always thought he had silver hair like Killua and Zeno?
In Madhouse version, it was always blonde.
But his hair is silver. It seems MH doesn't get the purpose of the name "Silva"
Hahaha. I thought Pariston would be the problem in this episode. .-.;
Alluka just exudes evil. "Give me your liver." What the craaaaaap? e.e
I'm not surprised that the other Zoldycks are fearful of him. I also get why Illumi wants him dead now. However, I hope this is addressed at some point: Why couldn't someone wish away his ability? I understand that wish granting is a big deal, but the requirements are too freaking dangerous.
...Man, that was creepy. Killua is being quite brave in doing this. I get the feeling that saving Gon will lead to some pretty huge consequential requests afterwards, if Killua does that.
TripleSRank said: However, I hope this is addressed at some point: Why couldn't someone wish away his ability?
They didn't know what would happen if they tried, along with the fact they don't even know all the rules to how it works. Even if it could work, there would be the problem of
Nanika, who might possibly be an Ai, which is a creature from the Dark Continent
YES!YES!YES!
FINNALY ALLUKA!!! I've been waiting for this episode for soooo long!
The best anime episode ever! And shut up blind people who think she is a boy! It's the cutest anime girl ever!

embracebuddha said: i dont know why everyone assumes alluka is a boy just because a couple of the zoldycs refer to him as a boy. same deal for kalluto as well. ive got a different theory. the zoldys whether boy or girl are raised as boys. maybe it has something to do with familys job idk, but i got a couple reasons why i think alluka and kalluto are girls. kalluto imo has the most chance of actually being a boy.
1.) its never been confirmed once that either are boys other than illumi and milluki saying they are their brothers. if you can prove otherwise go on ahead. ive read the manga like 6 times so i doubt you will.
2.)and this imo is the most telling clue. buts its a very minor spoiler so read with caution
When gohto tells killua later on that he will accompany alluka and killua and asks if canary(the femal butler) will join. killua gets mad and says something like "baka! of course shes coming alluka is a girl after all and an old man like you cant give her the delicate care she needs"
and yes i guess you could interpret that as killua respecting alluka but previous to killuas statement none of the butlers said anything about her being a boy. imo thats togashis way of letting you know this is a girl.
3.)NO ONE outside the family ever ever ever refers to kalluto or alluka as a boy. hmmmm......
Im not saying im right but everyone who says for a fact that alluka is a boy is full of it. theres no concrete evidence proving it either way. so im gonna go ahead and refer to them as girls until someone can prove me wrong :D
You're just totally making up your own headcanon ("girls are raised as boys") to support your view, and that's just stretching it. Such "setting" was never mentioned in the manga, it's always stated as "Zoldyck has Five Sons." I take that as it is.
First let's get with the 'official' statement (ala Publisher, Jump, Madhouse) out of the way:
In the official Data book, it's same as the manga: Zoldyck has five Sons.
1) The butlers called Alluka as Bo-chan "坊ちゃん" , which literally translated as "Young Master", and it's used specifically for male children. http://www.wordsense.eu/坊っちゃん/
Again there's no gender neutral nor ambiguity in this word, it's only used for male .
Then later on:
Morel called Alluka "your younger brother" when on a conversation with Killua. So Killua only lets people close to him in that Alluka is a "sister" (Gon, Butlers), but to outsiders he just refer to her as a brother.
2) Your so-called telling clue is more a telling clue on the reverse:
In Killua's speech bubble, there's a quotation mark for "Girl" (if Alluka is just a girl, there's no need for that special call out) and Gotoh is shown 'sweating', as in he's being asked something unreasonable but he had to go through with it anyway since Master Killua is calling it.
3) The Phantom Trope never refer to Kalluto as a girl either (just 'a strange child'). Either of them haven't met too much outside people.
To sum it up (with canon only):
The databook, Jump, anime setting called both Alluka and Kalluto male. No ambiguity word use. Clear stated as 'male', 'son." So now it's your own made-up headcanon against Official statement.
special quotation for 'girl' and Gotoh is shown sweating as in he thinks Killua is just being difficult and fussy as he too just see Alluka as young master.
touche. you definitely did more research then i would of. but even if my theory was complete bs which it probably is ill just respect the fact that alluka prefers to be seen as a girl. kalluto as well. i dont think calling them female or girls in that respect is a bad thing right? but i will say i took killua telling gotoh that he couldnt address her needs as woman meant something about lady parts lol not in a sexual way but you know maybe she needs to take a bath or change clothes idk it made sense when i said it lol but im not too proud to admit when im wrong. so kudos for taking the time to prove me wrong or atleast your theory makes more sense.

Answer is another question: wh don't they just kill her?
Another amazing Hunter X Hunter episode! Loved this one a lot, it was a very enjoyable episode. Alluka's power is scary! Loved seeing Killua's dad this episode. Can't wait for next weeks episode!

Why didn't killua just wish that the king died?
Pretty good episode tho!
Because failing to follow the next three requests would probably have ended man kind?
Killing the most powerful being sounds kinda like a big wish, don't ya think?
Manga spoilers
even throu Kil's command it was hinted that there was still a price, but it would befall the person whose wish/command was granted (killua)
LOVE the forwshadowings in this episode.
Looks like Alluka is the most powerful being in HxH universe, not the King
Nope. Alluka is like Neon, Zepile and Komugi. She's a "genius" and can't use nen conciously.
Can't believe it the episode ended so quickly. Finally, now that the ant arc has ended, things are getting back to really interesting. The next episode preview.. I'd expect nothing less from HxH.
We always learn a character power after the character had a propper introduction. We can't expect from Togashi to give us a list with hatsu's before the characters are even relevant to the story. He also had other options to ''heal'' Gon, he could have done that with a top tier nen curse remover but he chose for this. So how is this deus ex machina?
As for the episode, it was pretty good. Recent manga chapters made me pay alot of attention to the zodiac interaction.
looking for mole clues
So that part stood out for me the most.
There was a discussion going on last episode about why people think Ging is a bad father but nobody seems to mind the Zoldycks. This episode showed why I don't think that Silva is such a horrible father. Zoldycks are insane no doubt but atleast Silva takes care of his kids. He looked after them unlike Ging. Perhaps im bias but thats just how I feel.

Endings of anime aren't usually announced until the last episodes. The arc still has around 10 left.

They want to exploit that power.
Good point. I guess I'm talking more about Killua, but I suppose it's understandable for him to not have before now. I wouldn't mind seeing Kil "save" Alluka like that later, though.
Alluka is extremely dangerous but also an interesting character. Now I know why Illumi wants her dead. The head crushing scene was pretty horrific to see. It was nice to see young Killua again.
lightline said: I wonder what will happen if the babysitter kill her before she says the fourth request. because it seems Alluka is easy to kill.
Well. she kills her/him, she gets killed by the Zoldycks though I don't think Alluka is easy to be killed. He/she can grant any wish whatever it was. so I think there's kinda rule in his/her nen ability to prevent something like that from happening.
Sorry for using "him/her" to refer to Alluka, but it's more understandable than referring to him/her by "them".
Pronouns lesson. lol
