Brilliant episode and it was easier to follow than the previous. My favorite so far.

We got to see a portion of humans' daily lives through this ep.

And man, the piano scene is beautiful. And so is the music.

I hope it continues to be amazing til the end.

This episode was a real tearjerker. That device that Kaiba uses to step into the dreams of Chronoko's aunt is super cool.

Yeah. This is one of the saddest episodes in Kaiba and a very powerful episode in its own right too. A piece of art if you ask me. Poor Chroniko.

This anime reminds me of the feeling when first reading The Lttle Prince. It is sweet in the eyes, but somehow depressing when you really think about it and notice some deeper things. This anime, without a doubt, is a masterpiece and a possible show of reference for the anime makers who want to create something original and thought provoking.

First time I saw this, I could not understand well.
But in twice, I understand what I could not.

As Kaiba enter her mind, less quantity of memory books denotes that she sold a lot of her memories for her family.
And she truly loved Chroniko, although she lost it to live.
When she retrieves whole her memories, I cried deeply.
Great episode.

Ah I see, So Popo is with One Accord going by the beginning of this episode. Then this makes much more sense to me now as he's probably also the flying guy.

This episode was a masterpiece and now I'm thinking it's very much possible that this series will get a 10/10 from me. This series represents originality and creativity to it's very core.

Anyway, I haven't seen anything as sad that made me actually break into tears since that one part in The Perk of Being a Wallflower. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

Perfect way to describe this episode. Not much else I can say because everyone else has already said what I wanted to say. I was bawling by the end of the episode, it was just heartbreaking how it all happened to Chroniko's family. Also, the rich are so filthy sometimes, destroying Chroniko's memories like that.

Strangest most unusual anime I've watched in a while but it's to be expected of Trigger, I suppose.

How interesting that, at the push of a button, an entire room can be called up that someone could walk around in, a place where memories are stored like books and records on shelves. Chroniko's last moments were pretty horrifying when you think about it. I had to watch the episode twice to understand what Chroniko's aunt was doing. Not sure I understand why she inserted those memories at the end considering what she'd done and the sadness that was certainly going to overwhelm her.

Goddamn, what an amazing episode. Felt so sorry for Chroniko. She was so happy and positive despite her circumstances but she was taken advantage of and now her memories are lost forever.. the aunt realising she really loved Chroniko was too damn sad ;_;

Love the OP and ED btw.. and just the whole soundtrack in general actually.. The art style takes a bit getting used to, but the sharp lines and colours make up for it. Plus some of the characters are beautiful.

I had a hunch last episode, but it looks like Kaiba will get a new body each episode?

What a striking implication, that one can guide the course of their future actions by removing any influencing memories. A woman that loves Chroniko as her own daughter—and as the living memory of her sister—couldn't possibly sell off her niece's body, even for the sake of her sons. But take away all happy memories of Chroniko, and she becomes disposable....

It frightens me to think that depression could lead to people taking "suicide in steps." You maybe can't bring yourself to take a leap off a bridge, but you can slowly wipe your mind of all positive memories, giving yourself less and less reason to live.

I honestly am not understanding the appeal of this, because its depressing that somehow makes it a good show? It all is just random melodrama to me, there is no direction as to what the show is trying to aim for other than "life sucks". Main character still a big question mark who just looks around with vacant wide eyes. Right now I'd give this a 5 and feel generous with the rating.

What a tragic and yet sinister episode; when the man at the lab told her, as she was fading away, that her memories will not reach her family i was destroyed.

As for the family, such a complex thing; at first i thought for sure her step-mother really didn't wanted her at all, but then the end cleared this out for us and showed us a more complex reality. So sad they used to hide food and stuff, but at the same time due to the mom's job it looks they did indeed had some hardtime.

So sad now Kaiba is a host in her body, feeling miserable for the lost kid.

when i watched the ep for the first time i didn't understand what the punch line in it i simply thought that it's just low quality drama
but now after watching it for the second time it's make a lot of sense the writer just wanted to tell us ''there is a lot of danger in playing with the human mind and memories basically change the hole feelings of the person''

Out of the first 3 episodes so far this one gotta be my favorite. Everything was really well done.
Seeing how the aunt ended up forgetting about her good memories with Chroniko because she exchange everything for artificial happyness and gratifying sensations, only for later remember everything in one of the most tragic ways imaginable was heartbreaking.
