I know this show has its random moments from time to time but that bridge scene was too much. Quite disappointed to be honest.

Banri started out as a fun character but turned into a wimp somewhere down the line. Got annoyed by his antics quite fast once the whole memory drama started. As expected, the best girl, Linda, didn't win. 6/10

That bridge scene. This show has officially gone overboard with the supernatural... Though I suppose they do have a creative license to do so. But then again, that also means the writers can force or dictate anything they put to paper - heck, they can even have aliens invade, but that doesn't mean it's the right decision.

Thus the logical explanation for all this is...

Banri has been hospitalized in a coma from the beginning... And this was all a dream! After all, anything seems possible in this show.

But why do we even have a terrible character like Banri as the male lead? Without Scooter-san, we wouldn't even have this show in the first place!

As for our favorite unfortunate characters that were so rudely ignored in the finale... I leave you with this:
"How is this to end?"
"As stories must when love's denied: with tears and a journey."

Ugh finally its over, too many awkward cringe moments in this anime and Banri is way too overreacting. Maybe its because I am a kind of sloppy character and I dont give too much of a shit but if I where in his situation Id just move on. I have a bad memory anyway, I hardly remember anything that happened 5 years or later in the past anyway, and I am not freaking out like that. I mean damn he was acting like he was going to die. Yeah I think Ive had enough of any romance/drama now. Im gonna skip on them for the rest of the year...

Eh, I rated it 9/10 before, the ending dropped it to 7/10 though. While I'm very glad that Banri x Kouko is the final ship (in ya face, Linda), I still can't help but see the end as rushed, to damn rushed actually. Also, the scene with the Mirror was, frankly spoken, dumb - I don't really like these kinda things in anime when suddenly, plop, everything becomes kinda predictable. Also, that bridge scene, wtf?
Also, dat bro-ness from 2D-kun.
Overall, solid series, but not nearly as great as ToraDora (well, that's a hard task in itself, ToraDora = best RomCom imo).

How convenient for Banri. Struggling all the show to get his old memory back, actually getting it back, THEN again switching again his memory to get his convenient ending. 24 episodes for Linda to say YES to a GHOST ! Way to go Linda ..and with the thrown shoes also.
And thus the others characters were forgotten ...

Wow that was rushed, they could've done so much more with this...start of the episode forgotten everything and 5minutes later BAM memories back! Also the bridge scene was so dam stupid.

At least MitsuoXLinda seems to be happening.

2D-kun best bro ever!

Before finale 8/10 but this was so cliche, rushed and felt rather stupid therefore 7/10, I honestly feel like giving it a 6/10.

I don't understand how Linda made things clear and why could she still be happy when her love was taken in the end?

Also, there was a hint of Mitsuo x Linda in the end. What about Miss Supersonic???

I never liked/rooted for Kouko. I tried and couldn't be satisfied with the ending and how things turned out.

I was really trying to enjoy the series, but couldn't.. Not sure what kept me coming back each week.

First half was great, it was sad when Banri thought of Kouko as Oka. The bridge scene, that was the only part I didn't like, the full blown supernatural, and how can Linda sees Ghost Banri? Was it all only in Banri's mind, and Linda never followed Banri all the way to the bridge? The scene after, was really sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. :) Anyway it was a good journey, I am glad I started this, and I will be waiting for the author's next work.

Edit: Uhm, what? Hinted LindaxMitsuo? NOOOOO!

The first half of this was amazing indeed, but the second half kinda started going a little downhill for me.
The ending was good, bit it didn't satisfy me enough.
The other characters apart from Tada and Kouko had a lot of potential, too bad it wasn't used to it's fullest.

8/10 for the first half and 7/10 for the second one, but overall 8/10.

So happy for Linda that she got a second chance at the bridge.

Everyone helped Banri to remember like 2D-kun sending those mails and influenced Kaga to help out too, Oka-chan editing the video etc. Now that's real friendship.

All those bad moments that ever happened between Banri and friends turned out to be good. I can learn a lot from them and they're not even real.

I wanted to see Banri and Linda as a couple in the serie but as the serie progressed I realise that Banri and Kaga are a much better couple and I'm glad they get to be together in the end. I was shocked that Kaga broke up with him but luckily they're together.

Golden Time is a fun anime. One of the greatest romantic comedy anime I've seen so far.

The bridge scene made little sense. I guess it simply means that Linda came to terms that she did like Banri as he was then. Other than that, it was the ending I'd hoped for. I didn't like most of the supernatural stuff, but one way to look at it is that it's just a personification of his struggle with letting the past go.

Oh, and, Banri, you do not just throw a ring into a girl's palm like that. What the hell was that?

2D-kun confirmed as best bro along side with Yana.

Now, it was an eventful episode.

Banri did lost all his memories in the end. But he didn't really lost them, simply forgotten them.

I was surprised when Koko arrived at Banri house. I didn't expected her to go see him since she was so heartbroken. But 2D-kun is such a magnificent motherfucker, thank you anime saver.

I didn't realised that he had the wrong mirror :P

The bridge scene with the ghost was a bit off... I would have liked that Linda said that she love Banri directly to him.

But the scene on the bridge with Koko made it up for it. It was really sweet :3

Finally an anime were the couple kiss, think about having sex and doesn't get a heart attack when they hold hands.

The OST was also in overall really great. I liked the whole ride. Made up for the disaster Chuunibyou romance had become...

The ending was rather lackluster and rushed, tbh. The thing with Ghost Banri continues to make little sense, and neither do Linda's actions here either. I wanted Banri and Koko to end up together, but the way it was done here was lacking.

Golden Time had an interesting story that was hindered by lame execution at times, holding it back from its full potential. 7/10.

Order of ending couple (from what I have noticed)
1) First person the main character meets who is a romantic interest. (within the first episode sometimes second)
2) Childhood friend (barely less then the first)
3) All others (rarely happens)

And this one follows that still and is also the reason why I never get the pairing I want. I normaly like one of the side characters more due to the personalities of the main romantic interest being generally the same (2-3 different types of characters).

While I shipped Koko x Banri, that was cheesy as hell. They hinted at Mitsuo x Linda but what about 2D x Oka at least? OK ending. Still left a bad taste in my mouth with Banri's conflicted feelings. It's been too much of a roller coaster with this guy...

You're talking about Score with me? Like, seriously? You're not joking right ?

Oh well, someone who could only decide a good Anime based on score alone will never understand, I guess, so I'll just leave it at that

uhm excuse me sir i didnt knew i was talking directly to the high and mighty board of anime critics association .....oh ? u arent a member ? then shut the f... up.
First of all just so you know i started watching the anime since the first day and it didnt had a score so please dont tell me about how should i judge an anime.
Secondly have you ever watched a movie on imdb that has a score of 5 ? some of them really suck and even deserve a lower score, but i watch them regardless so i can judge it for myself , and trust me most of the time the were really bad.But the 6.5+ score movie are starting to get pretty good.Just so i can make it clear to you i dont judge anything by scores given by ignorants who became critics over night, the scores are more like guidelines.I didnt saw SAO but if you say there are alot of haters then why is the score still 8+ ? i think thats a question that even lil ol you can answer.Think next time u post please.

That was much weaker than it should have been. Original Banri just up and leaves when Linda tells him how she feels? Original Banri and new Banri should have combined, with combined Banri having to struggle with his love for both women. What do we get instead? Cheesy, rushed nonsense.

God, there was so much that pissed me off. :-| I was really looking forward to this anime but my expectations were kicked in the nuts.. more than once. :/ I guess I have to change my rating scheme pretty soon. I've always known that almost all of my scores are too high, but I'm just so lazy.. I had to give GT a 7 by taking all of my other scores into consideration but if I get to redo my scores, the score should go down to 6 (maybe even 5, but that's unlikely).

It actually had a nice start. I've been a Kouko since way before I started watching 3 days ago, so I could really enjoy the first couple of episodes where they got to know each other and I was really happy that their relationship didn't have to wait really long. Looking back now, it would have been so much better if the time before their relationship was much longer because most of the second half (especially the last 4 episodes but somehow almost all episodes since somewhere in the middle) really pissed me off.

Banri was one of the worst main chars I've seen in any anime so far... Leaving that awful voice aside, I just couldn't deal with all the crap he was spouting. And those random scream attacks.. that ghost Banri.. I can't even name all the things that pissed me off about him.

Too bad Chinami had to stay alone in the end, and Linda's and Mitsuo's relationship was hinted at but not shown.

After Kouko broke up with Banri I just thought 'Ok, please suicide now'. It would have been a better twist for Kouko, Mitsuo, Linda, Chinami and 2D-kun and could have not seen the last episodes. <.<

I'm happy for the Kouko x Banri ending but that could have been much better as well. :o

Seems like everyone is extremely overjoyed or sorely disappointed with the ending and/or series. Perhaps I might be a bit biased, but I was on the Kouko x Banri ship through and through. Why you ask? Because people gotta move the f*** on with their lives instead of dwelling on the past. The world waits for no one, no matter how painful your heartache. Plus I felt that the KoukoxBanri relationship was actually fleshed out and well developed on why they wanted, needed, and loved each other.

Despite how much I hated watching the 'old' Banri's over-the-top reactions to each time he reverted back though, I could understand how he must feel. You're sitting patiently waiting for someone special when all of a sudden the next thing you know is you're in the middle of a busy street surrounded by strangers with no recollection of how you got there. Yea, I'd be running around in WTF mode too.

As much as I despised the slow progression in the middle, ultimately I loved the rise and resolution to this series. Definitely a gem in my books.

Edit: 2d-kun wins best supporting man for bringing on the laughs AND feels. Now that is devotion to a friend hehe.

One of the shows I was looking forward to the most and had high expectations from, but man was I disppointed :/
It did start great but then something happen in the second half where a bunch of episodes felt like fillers and that just killed it for me. I lost interesst in the characters/story and everything, don't know why but I did pain me through the last 9 epiisodes even tho I was considering dropping it.
To me this was a boring story with bring characters that held no value, I would not recommend this show to anyone. :P
5/10 at best

Koko needs mental treatment.

This was posted by Ninjarealist on the web and it says it all:

One thing I have to reiterate after this episode: Koko is a classic Borderline Personality. These are the DSM IV characteristics of Borderline Personality disorder. I've highlighted the criteria that apply to Koko:

(1) frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.

(2) a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation

(3) identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self image or sense of self

(4) impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).

(5) recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior

(6) affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days)

(7) chronic feelings of emptiness

(8) inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights)

(9) transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms

I mean when she was crying to Banri about how she was worthless and didn't want him to leave her, all I could think was "Borderline!".

The ending to this show was pretty bad but then again the series the entire way felt really discombobulated. I wasn't rooting for koko x banri to begin with since they seem so dysfunctional together so when they finally reunite its quite underwhelming. Why couldn't he just end up with linda since theyre better suited together? Whats with that bridge scene with the 2 banris too? 6/10 when golden time is at its best.

7/10 seems like a fair score for this anime. The characters are really forgettable and are characters that one would love to hate (Koko). The animation/graphics seemed pretty average to today's anime. The music and soundtrack is uninspiring and forgettable excluding the OPs and EDs. This anime would have been better if the characters had more explanation to their pasts and/or taken the time to explain Ghost Banri a little. But here's just a few random thoughts I had on this show and decided to type down.
