I thought I missed something because Raetsel got absorbed, but childhood girl that Kaito wanted to change saved them. Kaito's bracelet power awakening. They solved together. All three are alive in hiding, with Iwashimizu-kun saving Kaito from being absorbed by Orpheus. So it was not Orpheus absorbed Jin, but Jin and Orpheus was in one. Raetzel finally understood what she lacks. To have fun solving puzzles. Jin really died afterwards.

ED from season 1 as ED for this ep.! Wow, Childhood girl solved the puzzle Kaito made, while Kaito is on the journey like Jin.

Final Mottox2 w. Childhood girl, Kaito, and Raetsel. Rook, Bishop, and Jikukawa wanting Kaito to join POG! Finally explanation for the final puzzle. Cross puzzle as practice. It's nice that all the important characters from 3 seasons appeared.

That was a nice little mini speech there by Nanoha. Well, this is he finale right? I guess I am okay with it considering Engima got a taste of pain there.

Well Rook is alive so that's good along with mostly everyone else. RIP JIN ;.;
6/10.

Great final! *.*
But... Jin ;(

Kinda sad, that each went his own way...
Nanoha solved puzzle!
Finally she made it!
She just needed final episode in last season to make this xD
and Kaito why you went on a trip and leave everyone behind... ;(

Kinda what 4th season...
I know this impossible, but...
I want it!
I'm not satisfied with this ending!
If another tv series is impossible,
I want OVA or something like this *.*
Wish there was another episode where Nonoha meet Kaito on his trip,
or where everyone just meet and solve puzzle...

Eh... I dislike long runner series,
I too much attached to characters....

RIP JIN! :'( At least, someone actually died so I give a bit of credit to the ending.

I wasn't even surprised when Rook appeared, I was so sure he would appear again (though, admittedly, I thought there'd be some "magic" involved from the armlet and Pythagoras), that I had forgotten he was supposed to be dead, in the first place xD

And finally, Nonoha solved a puzzle! About time! I like how she ignored EVERYONE while trying to solve it and then, skedaddle without even really saying bye! You go, girl :P

Also, Enigma... did he even have a purpose in this show??? I was waiting till the end for some clue, something! I thought that maybe he was Raetsel's father, but no info about that. The only notable thing about him, is his "Lovushka, Lovushka!" rants (not that he actually DID anything else, apart from those rants, buuu~t either way). I laughed when he started chasing around his imaginary Lovushka. Bless him. Random "villains" are always fun to watch.

As a whole, I didn't really enjoy this series much. I give it a 5 because it is kind of a guilty pleasure and it did make me laugh with its nonsense and plotholes.

Viva, Kaito! May we see you in a 4th season! Pity not to touch 100 episodes!

I knew that Rook jumped out of the carriage xD
because they don't show him before his dead
and knew that Gammon and Freecell are ok, too :)

Good to see that Rook is alive and well. So sad that Jin passed away. First time that Nonoha managed to solve a puzzle. And Kaito is off on a journey somewhere spreading puzzles. This was a good ending to this anime. There probably isn't gonna be another season of this. Gonna miss this anime.

Omg, I'm going to miss this anime so much! D:
I really hope there's going to be a season 4 though!
But it will probably be very unlikely since they graduated and Kaito is on a journey and all..

Crying really bad over the last episode fml....

I knew Rook wasn't dead and was going to come and save Gammon and Freecell and it happened just as I knew it would. I knew it.

The depressing thing is I had a feeling Jin wasn't going to make it..he was already too weak and sick because of Orpheus and I knew he was going to end up dying but I had this little shred of hope he could be saved ;;;;

Ugh this series is way too important to me and I'm just a mess now.

This ending was complete and utter satisfaction. I could not be any happier about this ending to this amazing series. I love it! I will miss Phi Brain immensely but I will always have its enjoyment fulled memories.

I dont understand how Jin died.

Anyway pretty strong ending for the anime and series. The Hologram playing over the final moments was a nice touch as it was always my favorite of the ending songs. Just captured everything that I feel that Phi Brain represents.

Mr Puzzle was funny and he did his famous face, loved it.

Woah. That was an abruptly happy ending. I guess it's to be expected, though. They would never actually kill any protagonists. But I wish Enigma wasn't just simply tossed out.

But yeah, the ending song was great. I always like learning about how people turn out after their great adventure.

Jin died :(
They're all alive :O I thought they would be revived through space/time magic or something.

Very good series all around, never thought puzzles could get this epic 8/10

Had a feeling Jin was going to die. The ending was nice and sweet. I don't really see this getting a season 4. This seemed like a complete ending and there is really no reason to continue it. I liked how they explained the puzzle this episode. :)
Found it a little funny how enigma just died and everyone was just like meh.

I liked it. It was rushed, but nice ending. I am glad that writers used Rook quite well in the final episode, that i was expecting, but did'nt really believed that it could happen, and it did. So yeah, flawed, but in the end, phi brain was anime that was fun to watch.
Maybe writers didn't realised the full potential of what really could have been accomplished if done right with the series, maybe they wasted entire second season and maybe they could have tried to use Nonoha (and other side characters) better, but i had fun, so thank you Phi Brain. We need more different kinds of shonens these days, and Phi Brain wasn't bad example.

Jin being dead surprised me. I didn't think he was going to die.

That child at the end reminded me of Lovushka.

I really liked this series. So sad that it's finally ending. It had it's moments. It had it's moments. ;-;

I can't believe Jin died :(.

This is one of most enjoyable anime I've seen. Love the puzzles that were used in the series. I knew that Rook, Freecel and Gammon were alive.

I hope there'll be a season 4!

So, they didn't have the balls to kill off the Rook and the others temporarily, but killed Jin for good? I would give them credit for that, if the ending wouldn't have felt so very...... incomplete?
Enigma just disappeared, Jin died because...... something regarding Orpheus, I guess? And Rätsel barely seemed to care for Jin dying. Sure, she cried, but that didn't seem like her usual "Jin > everything" self.

Ah whatever, the years of torment are finally over,..... right?
I sure hope so. 3 horrible seasons of Phi Brain should be enough.
This season could've been the best of them, if someone, preferably Gammon, would've punched Rätsel in the stomach really, really hard (and Melancholy while he's at it). But being as it is, it was the worst. Can't believe they made it even worse then season 2.

Kind of random that Jin died, but okay.

And thus ends Phi Brain, probably for real this time. It was a weird little show. It taught me that puzzles have feelings, and are capable of killing your parents.

Pretty lovely ending I must say while sad and all I do liked the overall development of the anime, the story is pretty much finished as far as I can see as well Jin is "saved" now and Nanoha solving a puzzle made it as good as done!

Pretty decent series in general! But for this stronger last episode a solid 8/10

That was kind of a rushed ending. So Jin fused with Orpheus and Jin finally won control of his body at the end? Cause i doubt Orpheus would let him delay the time till Jin's body finally die.

Well Enigma's character was useless throughout, dont even know why he was in this show really.

Great to see Mizerka so happy at the end with a wedding ring from Doubt. She looks really pretty and happy.

Sad that Jin had to die in the end. His been fighting pretty much since he acquired the ring and he couldnt have a happy ending T_T Nice touch adding Hologram as the ED song there, pretty nostalgic even though its been only around 2 years. Congrats to Nonoha finally solving a puzzle. Will miss the cast.

I actually pretty much enjoyed this series more than the 2nd one. When the series started and Enigma and Raestel appeared, i thought "oh no another organization and its gonna be the same plot again." but then Orpheus appeared and the series really picked up.

Since the start of season 1, i've been wanting to know who created the Orpheus ring and why but then season 1 ended with no explanation and season 2 started out concentrating on the rings but still wasnt able to provide any explanation. So im really glad season 3 FINALLY explained it.

Still dont see the reason for having a season 2 though. The characters were pretty much useless as well. The only good thing that came out of that season was the OP and ED. <3 nano.

I didnt expected season 3 to be the final season honestly. I though the series would continue on with lots of season and an evil organization everytime. However I will definitely miss this show, even though the plots are pretty average but its a show which i have been following for around 2 1/2 years so theres sure bound to be some attachment.

All in all pretty good series overall and it was worth the 1 year wait for the final season. Lastly, Raetsel cutest character in this series ftw!

Well some people like to finish what they start. I personally rarely drop any shows,

THIS.

I NEVER drop shows. Which a very quick glance on my list/profile gives away immediately.
But hey, writing fanboish-nonsense is by far easier, huh.

The ending itself is good, the feel good/cool type of ending, where the main character just took off and travel around the world by himself, teaching kids the joy of puzzling, and the anniversary of Jin's death, but everything that lead up to that point is poorly planned out.

no.. I don't approve this.. I WON'T APPROVE JIN's DEATH!!!
mfg hate you all T_T
my most adored character died so stupidly why he couldn't stay alive? it isn't like they couldn't save him from his body destruction cause of Orpheus that implies by the fact that Orpheus didn't conquer his mind acctually, but Jin's mind merged with Orpheus cause they had those few things connecting their desires and thoughts and beliefs and fallacies, so his body's suffering wasn't onesided and it could be saved by managing Jin aside from Orpheus so he can't confuse both of them.. So why Jin needed to die?
ughh.. I am really angry and disppointed still...

but for overall this was amazing anime! with amazing theme and story and going through one of the most mysterious things like numbers puzzles and ancient leftover. But humankind is weak and 'stupid' wishing for something that isn't important. Just clouded by delusions and wish for more and more.. human beeing can't stop until something punches the brain in the right way. We need to appreciate what we have at the moment and trying to make it better in positive way, normally not in negative XD
I don't understand why people don't see that this kind of anime can't be done more majestic, cause the nature of thematic. It's done like puzzles. Progressing from stage to stage from level to level and to way of solving and understanding puzzles. Also characters were growing up and showing in that way each with their own things difficulties or happiness bringing with the story and realising their mistakes or rights. since itself, science and puzzles and mathematics and people who do it it's exactlly like this. poorely done till the end? I saw that comment. O.o why? those who didn't understand the point of this anime after watching it sure could write this.
so this was nice show and each puzzle was thrilling. I was annoyed sometimes by female characters like Nonoha and Raetsel constantelly clinging to the main guys .. (omfg chill out girls x.x). but others were interesting and good characters :3

but I didn't like the end to the slightest I didn't like it. Cause of Jin I will lower my score for this anime and I wanted to give it 10, but not how ending halfheartly had been done. (and them smiling stupidily and Nonoha running off to ''searching for Kaito'' mfg like who cares Jin is dead it's like we lifted some burden)..and Baron I am the most angry at him for not showing to his friend for the last time , like he culdn't do something?! T_T grr
I hope for 4th season with reborn Jin, I mean like he stayed alive but they needed much effort to return his body to normal state *o* *mywishesahh*

Overall it was a satisfying ending. I was kinda happy to see Jin die not because I hated him but I couldn't help but think "YES! FINALLY A MAIN CHARACTER IN A SHOW ABOUT DEATH TRAPS ACTUALLY DIED!!!" But it was also sad to see Jin actually go. In the end we barely saw the real Jin outside of flashbacks and spent 3 seasons either hearing about him or watching his amnesiac self. So to see him just drop dead right after turning back to normal was sad. But it was a good kind of sad at least for me.

The only thing I'm not satisfied with is I wanted the ending to show more of their lives afterwards. All we got is they graduated and are all splitting off to do puzzle things. Nanoha chasing after kaito after graduation like that is close enough to a confession for me but what about Gammon and Elena? It's painfully obvious they like each other especially Elena liking him (She was far more concerned about him than anyone else) so give us a little confirmation!

I don't want a season 4 but an OVA or two just to give us a little after story would be nice.

God, this season was awful and the whole time I was about to give up. I did not mind that puzzles are more or less "unsolvable" but they are not even fun to watch. This was pretty much the only salvage value for the series. Pathetic acting, dislikeable characters (lets be honest, anyone can easily name at least two characters who would be better dead), but mainly the overstretched script was killing me since the beginning of the second half.
