I sat through this terrible first season just to see that Refrain arc everyone was talking about. So let's see, I hope I won't be disapointed. |

My expectations died along the way though so it'll take a lot for it to disappoint me. I guess I'm happy for the people who like this. The first season was absolute chore for me. I'm surprised I even managed to get this far. |

It's not like people were begging for that or anything. Lots of people were, actually. Theres no point in making a Little Busters anime without doing Refrain. The entire first part is all a set up for Refrain. I was being sarcastic when I said that, mostly referring to the first post that said "nobody asked for this," when in reality it's what pretty much everyone wanted. |

I think Refrain has more feels to it than After story, but while getting to the best parts it did a great job at working its way there. I know that AfterStory was still unbeatable but I do like LB Refrain than After Story but the only problem is the anime studio maybe J.C. Staff do some weird things for the Refrain. |

I like how you specified that you dropped on the first episode like it's some kind of achievement. At least try and sit through the whole thing before dropping it. You may enjoy it. Even I'll admit that the first episode wasn't that amazing, even the first arc wasn't too great either, but after ep 5 the show got significantly better. |

Clannad rated so highly because it wasn't as boring as LB in some aspects, of course the animation was way better too and Clannad has a better progression leading up to Afterstory. Little Busters season 1 is pure build up on the characters, nothing more. Icebreaker93 said: Well I dropped 1st season on 1st ep.Never liked LB so i dont care what will happen with the 2nd season. While Clannad 1st season is very straight forward and directed+animated better, Little Busters! 1st season is much more subtler with it's main plot (at least before the second cour), so that's understandable. You can only compare them after Refrain is out though, since After Story! and Refrain basically are the main dish of both series. But they are quite different : After Story! is kinda independent from the first season since it focus pretty much on the later family life, but Refrain is there to answer all of the questions in the entire story. |

No shit. If it will be just Refrain and not EX routes added too to prolong it I'll be disappointed even more than I am now by the first season. What happened to Kurugaya's route? It's going to be on Refrain+ Rin 1+2? Makes sense. Add EX too and make it another 26 episode season JC. Oh, and at least change the music placement guy in the second season. He can easily ruin it even more, without him it can be ruined less. But I already want a remake by KyoAni or P.A. Works or White Fox, titled Little Busters! (2036). |

Anyway, like what Dizzyworld said, the last 1/4 of Kanata's route and Sasami's route are after the events of Refrain in which those two route are treated as sequels after the main story and Saya's route is totally out of the question for LB's main story. I didn't know that since I didn't read the EX routes, just read the EX 4koma manga. The EX routes are yet to be translated into English, waiting eagerly for the translation of them. At least JC should animate EX too in another season. I see no reason why not. |

I'll just ask anyone who think the first season of CLANNAD is way better than the first season of Little Busters! if they actually watched CLANNAD s1 weekly or not. I have no doubt that some people did, but for those of you who didn't: there is a difference between watching a show weekly and doing it in one sitting. I for one find less emotional impact lower in anything I watch weekly, just because I have time to let everything sink in and stuff. Sooooooo, for people in doubt, rewatch LB! again (yeah I'm actually saying this). Anyhow, I for one am excited for Refrain, which is, imho better than After Story. After Story didn't make me cry. Sue me. |

Yes, but also note that Air sold more than Kanon and almost as much as Clannad, yet the Air anime is considered pretty terrible. I don't think you should go off of sales. Also note that KyoAni have a larger fanbase than JC and that a lot of their fans will just buy their stuff just because it has the god damn KyoAni name stapled on it. It's like Call Of Duty in the video game industry. It gets crap tons of sales, just because it's called Call Of Duty, even if the damn thing is considered terrible by many. |

Guess what people still did, continued to ask away, so I answered and said the same shit again and again. Setting peoples expectations higher is a bad thing? Just stop because it ain't, it's their choice to believe or not. All I did was requote somebody and crossed one word out, and put one word in and that's hyping it up? Okay. If I was hyping it up I'd be like "You should keep watching, it's way better than everything else," everything about it is great from animation quality down to the storyline. No if I was actually hyping something I'd be phrasing it more so. Before you even try and say I said that when I was talking about Clannad: AS, don't even bother because I purely praised Clannad for having the right progression throughout series. |
