WSJ is on a roll huh. NnM, Bakuman, Beelzebub, Sket Dance and now Toriko are getting adaptations. On top of announcing the second season of Bakuman and NnM.
Haven't got round to reading this manga but I heard it's popular. Will try to watch this. Cast looks good.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

hmm.... the manga was good, so who knows?
"Forged in darkness with wheat harvested from Hell's half acre. Baked by Beelzabub; slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chickens, force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one-eyed madman. Cheese boiled from the rancid utters of fanged cows. Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood."

It's not wholly cooking; it's more like "I fight food to eat it." But there is still the vaguely explained cooking.

seems rather lolzy... and for some reason that guy makes me think of a combination of Gintoki from Gintama and Kalas from Baten Kaitos...

Awesome, I've been waiting for this. And while I really like Toriko's voice in the special, Okiayu Ryotaro should be just as good.

this has a better chance of being a long anime then beelzebub. because once the toriko anime comes out it is going to have 150 chapters of manga to work with in the manga and the averge long anime has 130 chapters when the series starts. Beelzebub will have like 91 or 92 when the anime comes out so it most likely won't be a long series.

Wasn't Psyren cancelled? Because if it indeed was, I doubt there will be an anime adaptation ever.

Oh, and Toriko is propably gonna be a new never-ending series. While the Jump Festa specials were done by Ufotable, the 3D movie was by Toei, and seeing how the cast has changed, I think the series will be by Toei as well. Also, it will run in DBKai's timeslot (which will end till april).

It was and I hate to admit it. But if it wasn't, we would have wanted an adaptation of it if it's still ongoing right now.

There are only 122 chapters I think of this manga(Toriko). Even if I don't read the manga and know the pacing of the story, I don't think they'll do a never-ending series on this. Maybe a 2-cour series is sufficient.

Again, WSJ is on a roll and I'm a bit impressed. A lot of their works have gotten adaptations(this, NnM, Bakuman, Beelzebub, Sket Dance), some are getting second season(NnM and Bakuman) and Gintama is gonna return.
Waiting for Kuroko no Basket or Medaka Box adaptation :P

look at the sales even a average jump series has more/equal sales then a hit from most of the other mags btw toriko is one of the better jump series.

Again, it seems a little soon for this young manga, yet nevermind...
I'll look out for this; there aren't any other anime fitting the random, simple nature of Toriko at the moment, so atleats it's different?
