| sigh, one of the best eps of this show. movie 9 might have upped the tension and emotion alot better but i like the pacing of this episode. they did such a good job interpreting the manga here. |

| To be honest, this wasn't one of my favorite episodes. I've always thought that the "leaving moments" were a little to over dramatic for my tastes, and this is no different. But, to be fair, I thought this in most other "character recruitment arcs" even in the Arlong arc, which is my favorite arc thus far. Don't get me wrong, I did like this arc overall. It had great moments, like the mountain climbing scene; but, not my favorite. I do like Chopper overall, though. |

| What does dr. Kureha need the key for? She could break walls with only her feet: Same for Wapol, he can eat literally anything. Does some mere wall or door really constitute an issue for him? |

| I already spoke my praises last episode, they've stayed obviously, but now I can add one more. What an absolutely brilliant way to end Drum Kingdom. I had a suspicion that Doctorine's canons were going to be used for this as soon as she wanted the key. Also, Luffy's "SHUT UP, LET'S GO!!!" was amazing. Luffy's awareness as always is on point and he can clearly see what's holding Chopper back isn't something that really should. I feel like Luffy can see into peoples hearts, he knows what kind of people they are and what they really want, even if they themselves may not realize it yet. This leads into why he's able to pick out a crew and fight for them despite never learning their backstories. He refused to learn Nami's and he wasn't there for Chopper's, but despite this he knows them the best and fights for them with all his heart. In fact, I'm pretty sure Luffy was confused when he heard Chopper was a doctor, he didn't even want him for the purpose of being ship doctor he just thought he'd be a cool friend. |

| Chopper agreeing to join the crew made me tear up but finally seeing Hiluluk's special sakura tree bloom in the center of the Reborn Drum Island made me feel so emotional. I never expected it to be as grand as that and I was sincerely impressed by what I've seen. |

| That shut up let’s go from Luffy was very memorable! From what I’ve seen now is this one of my favorite arcs with Baratie and Arlong arc! |
