| Not OP, but ED, it's underrated because nobody watches the show. The show doesn't have OP. I don't know if this is underrated, I am pretty sure it's not back in the days, 2.3m views on the video, but these days nobody watches older anime anymore, so this one gets forgotten. |

The first two Kinnikuman OPs were the first to come to mind. The entire franchise is underrated. Dr. Slump's Waiwai World is another good one from a classic Toei anime. Kikaider's Theme of Gemini is a personal favorite. Astro Boy 1980's OP might be the best use of a choir I've yet heard in an anime. Coming out the same year as the aforementioned title, Shin Tetsujin 28's OP is equally as fantastic. Great pick. Very catchy! |

| These aren't the literally "most underrated" openings (sorry for not fully answering the thread), but they are pretty good yet not talked about or listened to much anymore. This a pretty quality song for a not so quality show. So, it's 'underrated' because of the contrast. My Isekai Life IMO, very immersive opening for a show that requires a viewer to be immersed (or otherwise they get bored.) It also sounds a little unusual in style when compared to other openings from other shows.
