What horrible luck! If there's a Navy soldier whom Law had to find, it HAD to be Vergo! Dammit!

I'm really curious about the contents of the letter, because it's related to Dressrosa in some way. Corazon just got a merciless beating from Vergo. D:

The Donquixote Family has landed at Minion Island, and Doffy unleashes the Birdcage. There's nowhere to run, and there's only despair! I really love the relationship between Corazon and Law. Corazon's smile at the end, though...We all know what's gonna happen next, and I sure as heck won't be able to handle the upcoming feels trip.... D:

They have possibly the worst luck of all time! Verge was brutal to the two of them! Now we understand what Doffy was referring to when Vergo took his coat off back in punk hazard.

My body is not ready for the next episode! The feels are incoming!!!

Such terrible luck to run into Vergo of all people.

Well, next episode is the end of Law's backstory, and, like most characters in One Piece with tragic backstories, we all know how it will end.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Take me back to the days before MAL became infested with Twitter's favorite buzzwords.

Terrible that he found Vergo, gives a lot of context to the hatred that Law had for Vergo earlier in the series. I wish they could have delivered that letter :(.

This is One Piece, where people survive multiple gunshots at point blank range to the face. So using that logic, yes.

This is One Piece, where people survive multiple gunshots at point blank range to the face. So using that logic, yes.

Whitebeard still fought in a war after part of his head was blown off.
Buggy traveled the East Blue with Alvida without being connected to his body.
Zeff survived 85 days (I think anime was less) without water and by eating only his leg (no food in anime).
...the list goes on and on.

I have learned not to usually question it. One Piece logic equals no logic, but it is still more logical than all other mainstream shonen shows.

Ohhhh shiiiit!! OP-OP Fruit eaten and Vergo shows up. He then proceeds to beat Corazon and Law half dead.
I guess 1 more episode til the conclusion to law's past. Then we go HAM from then onwards.

After I had read Law's past in the manga, I knew that when they animated it it would be emotional....I think the Corazon/Law backstory is one of my favourites for sure.

I can't wait for the next episode!

Didn't mind the animation and other shit toei is doing because the atmo and soundtracks made it great.
Emotional scenes in the best flashback of the manga and with two of my most favorite OP characters.

Doesn't make up for shitting on more than half of the flashback... still, good to see an episode like this.

Corazon is a great character, even if we only see a few episodes.
Now we get to know more about Law's past and the reason he's fighting.

Amazing episode, Corazon just kept on getting up, after getting shot and beaten up badly.

I will never again say that I have bad luck, man nothing can describe Law's luck.

I had teary eyes during the whole episode, I can't help but love Cora-san so much
I wonder what is his plan to help freeing Law from the cage trap.

Also, the creepy smile at the end, just Lol XD

I was so not ready for the episode. T_T Damn Rocinante has a great voice actor! <3 D'; Loved all the Corazon x Law moments.

The Doflamingo's family arrival though, looked less badass than the manga. Kind of a shame, I was waiting for that for quite some time. Birdcage was animated very well, loved it too.

The use of soundtracks was spectacular.

I am, and will never be ready for the next episode. )';

P.S. Oh ya, did the anime changed where the "smile" took place? I thought it happens a bit later.

Why no one mentioned that Vergo seems to be a good guy? He wanted to help a kid while he had nothing to do with his mission, he could simply abandon him, but he didn't, it was only later when he learned that this kid was was Trafalgar Law. This episode seems to hint that Vergo actually cared about people, despite being a spy of Doflamingo. Unless they actually were in his way or tried to backstab them (or both with Law, and Rosinante) he followed his missions given by Marine, and helped people.

Actually, Vergo seems chill. He was actually willing to help, and he showed compassion. Idk if he's doing it under cover, but I feel like he genuinely does his work when needed.

I thought about that too, but it might just be the "fake vergo" doing it.
Meaning he's living as much as he can to his fake-self, to attain quickly his goals.
Or maybe he thought going there could give him more intel on that secret letter.
