| I'm not loving the Strong World episodes but they are getting me psyched to see the movie :) |
| The character animation in this episode was really pathetic. Those flashbacks to the little girl and the giant bug were bordering on being horrifically bad, as were some of the shots of Robin. What makes it even worse is when you compare it against the character animation in the second half of the opening animation - particularly that of Ace. But shoddy animation aside, there is nothing in this filler arc that would make me want to see the upcoming movie. On the contrary, it only makes me want to get back to the real story line. Oh well, only one more week of this. |

| I liked the episode but I was getting bored at watching it since I can't wait anymore for Impel Down XD Finally, only 1 week more for the fillers and back to the main storyline. |

| Kind of a boring episode actually. The characters looked weak in this. Oh well, at least it's 1/10 as good as it normally is... That's enough for me. The opening.. >_< I'm kind of hoping that when New Years comes they'll just switch the opening song because of the record amount of complaints... and then, say it has been a year technically... because it's 2010.. >.> But then, they'd just be trolling.. I'd even take it more seriously if at least the Seiyuu sang it... |

| I just love how oda showcases, sanji, zoro and luffy together. When ever a fight is underway or its pay back time. its those 3 out of the straw hats that look the most bad ass together. Anyways looking forward to the last episode and the battle against those annoying amigo pirates. |

| An okay episode.. That Net Net devil fruit ability looks promising but cannot believe it easily defeated the main Strawhat three :-P I LOL when Luffy punched the beetle haha Reminds me of Laboon! :-D |

| It was okay. Worse than the previous two but enjoyable nonetheless. The "crybaby kid" formula is not exactly my favorite, they should really stop this. And expected Usopp and Nami to do that, damn, they are going to be mere spectators of the fight or what? Other than that, I loved the detail of Sanji's cigarette getting disintegrated. |

| I have to agree the art this episode sucked. Further I really didn't like the first half of the episode. The net power is interesting itself. I was about to complain that he just spawned iron out of his body before it flashed back to him chomping on iron and it stopped me from embarrassing myself with a lack of brain. It's logical and it's a strong power that caught the Straw Hats off guard. Luffy ripping it just in time was kinda contrived seeing that Zoro couldn't even cut it when he can cut flipping buildings in half, but apart from that I'm okay conceptually that they were caught off guard and now they're prepared to fight against the power this time. That said, the fact that Usopp and Nami did nothing, nor did Sanji attack Largo as he spent so long trying to capture Zoro made me furious. Nami is one strong character and she would be doing stuff in the background without a doubt to save the day. She has a clima tact. When push comes to shove and her friends are in danger she's very strong. Usopp may hesitate but we should have gotten a focus on him overpowering his hesitation and trying his best to help, maybe he could try and burn the nets with a fire star. The Sanji one is more forgivable since shounen time flow isn't quite realistic and you could argue that Zoro got caught fairly quickly I suppose.. even though it felt really weird. But relegating the strong Usopp and Nami, the original brains of the team, to mere cowering spectators makes me sick!!! But, I didn't hate the episode. Past the horrible use of the characters and the boring and predictable flow of the episode I found some things good. Yoko's flashbacks were somewhat powerful, Boss was the closest thing she had left to her father and they sold that. I liked the net power. But specifically I LOVED Luffy's reaction to all of this. Luffy knew Boss was Yoko's nakama. And that nakama was sacrificing himself for Yoko. Luffy could put himself in Yoko's shoes and imagine what it would be like if Zoro, to his knowledge, was trying to sacrifice himself for Luffy's sake. So when he yelled "HEY, WAIT", before ripping the net and punching the injured Boss away from the net my jaw dropped like the crowd did. It was a perfectly spontaneous and shocking Luffy moment which I think had a lot of meaning. Luffy rationalized it in a Laboon-esque way, YOU NEED TO KEEP YOUR PROMISE WITH ME, but we've seen how he respected Boss as someone else's nakama and defended him against Colt. I think it was a lot more than simply he wanted to fight him. It was awesome. Lastly, for Boss gain some faith in Luffy and free him with one last wind of fire breath before collapsing, entrusting Little East Blue to the Straw Hats, that was awesome. I won't forgive relegating Usopp and Nami to spectators or some of the contrived aspects of this or the poor art, but the end salvaged my enjoyment for me. Now with the other Straw Hats on their way maybe we'll get a big brawl with everyone this time. |

| His Net Net ability can be really overpowered even if eating a lot of the stuff he eats to make nets that aren't actually useless would be painful as hell. Boss is quite the noble giant, going as far as to give himself in to save everyone and exerting the last of his energy into releasing the captured Straw Hats. A direct confrontation wouldn't work so they'll have to think of a more effective strategy this time around though. |
