| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I've watched the camrip since I'll probably not be going to Japan in the immediate future and see this while it's on scheduled run in Ghibli Museum. ┐(￣ー￣)┌ I found the kitten bus actually cute and Mei fitting inside him doubles the kawaii factor. The events in this movie apparently happened after the movie My Neighbor Totoro since Mei knows what a cat bus is by appearance. It seems cat buses and perhaps other form of feline transportation in this short movie seem to like caramel candies. ^.^ Even good ol' Totoro made an appearance with the umbrella they gave him in the movie, along with hordes of other Totoros, they look creepy when they smile in the dark though. Apparently they're lots of them out there and cat buses too, and even cat trains! o_O |

| At first I was like "how did Mei know that was baby Catbus's dad?". Then I paused and saw the cat balls. Haven't seen a nice pair like that nice Pom Poko. |

| Really cute, not surprised though since Studio Ghibil, for me, is a really cute anime producer and I love all there movies. :3 This short special was really good, and seeing the small Cat Bus was cute as well. :3 I suppose it's a bus....more or less like some sort of transportation vehicle. x3 |

| A nice addition to the Totoro franchise as well as to the Ghibli repertoire, managing to set the exact same mood as the movie, that of fantastical discovery through the eyes of a kid. I particularly loved how much Mei has seen to grow in this short. Too bad there's only a camrip available to us westerners who can't afford a travel to Japan. Better than nothing, I guess. |

| The Cat bus looks SOOOOO comfy ^.^ Dang, that's a very old Cat bus. Whelp I asked for more Totoro and Cat bus in the original movie and got it here. I'm satisfied, loved this small special :) |

| This was the movie they showed when I went to the Ghibli Museum. Cute and adorable for all ages just like the movie. I really wish Ghibli would just release these shorts. I get that they want exclusives for the Museum but they should release them in cycles. Let's say every 5 years they release their old shorts and then replace them with new ones. I think that works best for everyone. That being said, everyone should try to go to the Ghibli Museum because it is a Ghibli fan's dream. |

| It is currently being showcased in the Ghibli Park in Nagoya (in November 2023), but will be on a rotating monthly schedule with other shorts just like in the Ghibli park. Really lovely short that brought a tear to my eye by breathing some new life into this lovely world and these nostalgic characters. The music and animation was great. It is slightly lacking in overall quality compared to the original movie, but it was still incredibly beautiful and a fun and wholesome little adventure. |
