| So, no one is going to talk about how Sendo with the children is a direct reference to Ashita no Joe... almost the same personality... the kids are like a re-designs... but the girl and her clothes are specially dead on! It's as if Joe was given some sort of a reboot in Ippo. |

| Who knew that working in a fishing boat business with your mother would end up with you bagging a hot doctor and former pro Judo fighter like Yamaguchi? Things might not have worked out between him and Mashiba's sister but she's a dozen times better than her~ Takamura taping porn over their only tape of Sendo's fighting was hilarious. The chief and Yamaguchi talking about the effectiveness of the exercise while the two of them were frantically doing bridge walks was really funny too. His hand's more or less healed thanks to his dedicated training but it looks like his long and conscious effort to not give his right hand any more trouble's left a deep mark on his mentality. It'll be troublesome if he keeps unconsciously searching his deadliest weapon like that. |

| Takamura is almost always screwing around, but during the practice it motivated Ippo at least a bit xD and can't blame him, Yamaguchi is a babe Sendo is working hard as well and it's cool how the whole place is supporting him. |

| Sendo definitely is Morikawa's version of "Joe Yabuki (Ashita no Joe), but in Hajime no Ippo's universe". It can't just be a coincidence with so many similarities between their characters. It just can't. |
