| really nice episode animation-wise, and story-wise. the anime went from living with a 7 year old, some funny parts and light-hearted moments, into the truly dark being of the show. shin really just kicked the asses of those guys. i want to see what happens next, i want to know whats wrong with shin, and i want to know what he got into when he accepted to protect murasaki. havent seen a dark-themed anime in awhile, and i gotta say, i missed them... the OP and ED seem so out of place, but the songs are pretty good, specially the ED |

| i love the animation in this series, and this is the only "true" animes of the season, the rest is just comedy, ecchi, and mecha.(not to say that i don't love those genre either) but the last few seasons have been packed full with them. This is very refreshing so far |

| maybe I could be a dispute mediator......aside from the fighting and if it pays well lol. I am still a bit confused as to everything about that girl since they just through info at you and expect it to stick but it doesnt so I am at a bit of a loss. I wonder whats up with his arm. | This anime is simply awesome. Really enjoyed this episode :) The part where Shinkurou sees his dead mom was really creepy. Also, can't wait to see how he got all that power, and what's wrong with that right arm. |
| Murusaki's a great character on her own, but coupling her with a big brother-like guardian like Shinkurou makes Kurenai a fun watch. My favorite new anime as well. |

| Ep 2 was great as well, I'm glad that the quality didn't drop from the first. The animation, characters and plot seems so far one of the best of this season, if it keeps it up it has a good chance of turning out to actually be the best. I'm glad I didn't drop this series after that lame intro... XD |

| Another great episode and I have to agree that this is definitely one of the better shows this season. I would say at this moment this and Allison & Lillia are my top two at the moment. While I agree that there are definitely some shows that are not that great there are still quite a few things on that are pretty good so far this season. |

| Wow. Murasaki is really special. She didn't act the way I thought she would've. e.g when Shinkurou hit her, she didn't burst out crying and run off like I thought she would... Murasaki, is a strong, mature 7 years old. hmmm... I kinda hope Shinkurou to not be gifted with unusual power but actually fight with his kick-ass martial art or something... That's my only complaint for the show so far. This show have been good like I expect it to, I'm kinda surprise that this show only have the average of 7.91... guess I'll see what happen towards the later episodes... |

| During the first episode, the beginning felt so long and stretched out. I was tempted to just say fuck it there. But I'm glad I stuck with it. I love the interaction between Shinkurou and Murasaki. Any show can put a good action scene in, but it's a lot more impressive to have good chemistry amongst the characters. Shinkurou just seems so... paternal at times. Like when he hit her in the bath. |

| "Dispute mediator", like Dirty Pair's "trouble contractor" seems to just mean "badass suitable for subject of pulp fiction", but there's no glamor to it here. Shinkurou just absorbs the blows of his opponents as he beats them into submission, getting covered in blood. The passionless nature of the fight was fairly off-putting, too. All strikes me as an odd accompaniment to "young man and little girl" drama but I'm not complaining. |

| You know, Murasaki seemed really annoying to me in the first episode, but I liked her here. Hopefully this trend will last. Anyway, this was such a wonderful episode! I loved the heartwarming moments with the old lady buying her milk and with Shinkurou getting her a new futon. Speaking of Shinkurou, he's pretty badass, but that was to be expected. Anyway, I'm still very interested in Murasaki and her family's backstory. I also can't wait for them to strike; the confrontation should be interesting! |

| That was cute. Really, really cute. That ending though, I'm not sure if the psuedo-supernatural elements really fit with the way the show is going. Well, for what it is. SO far, there's a mix of crime, survival, action, school life, kinda sorta childcare, fast comedy, and something resembling bodily mutations. This is a really scrambled show, but when it does its daily life bits, it's a real joy to watch. |
