Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e

On the surface, Koudo Ikusei Senior High School is a utopia. The students enjoy an unparalleled amount of freedom, and it is ranked highly in Japan. However, the reality is less than ideal. Four classes, A through D, are ranked in order of merit, and only the top classes receive favorable treatment.

Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a student of Class D, where the school dumps its worst. There he meets the unsociable Suzune Horikita, who believes she was placed in Class D by mistake and desires to climb all the way to Class A, and the seemingly amicable class idol Kikyou Kushida, whose aim is to make as many friends as possible.

While class membership is permanent, class rankings are not; students in lower ranked classes can rise in rankings if they score better than those in the top ones. Additionally, in Class D, there are no bars on what methods can be used to get ahead. In this cutthroat school, can they prevail against the odds and reach the top?

Classroom of the Elite grabbed my attention right from the start with its mysterious aura. From the very first episode, it felt like something deeper was always happening under the surface 👀.

One thing I really enjoyed is how the anime focuses on communication between classmates, and how that slowly turns into actual teamwork. Watching them go from disconnected individuals to people who can work together and pull off impressive results was genuinely satisfying.

I also liked the gradual but meaningful character development. It’s not rushed, and it doesn’t feel forced. Characters slowly grow and start becoming better people, and that kind of steady progress really peaks ... my interest 🙌.

What kept me hooked the most is the smart planning and competition between classes. The main characters aren’t just reacting — they’re calculating, preparing, and trying to outplay opponents to earn higher scores for their class. That constant mental battle makes it hard not to keep watching.

Overall, I found this anime captivating in every episode. I honestly didn’t feel bored at any point, and the twists and turns hit different 😄🔥. If you like strategy, class rivalries, and slow-burn development, this is a really exciting watch.

Mixed Feelings

One of those anime that you keep watching hoping for something interesting to happen since the setup looks interesting,but nothing really happens. Excluding the season finale,the anime falls short of all those expectations and 1 ep out of 12 doesn't really cut it. The makers try to create a social commentary-esque,high school drama with many characters,a unique grading system,interplay b/w the many characters and so on. Every ep starts with some random quote from a famous philosopher but it doesn't really translate and ends up looking pretentious. And then there is fan service,loads of it! In a 12 ep season there is one ep solely ... dedicated to showing off the 'plots' of all female characters. What purpose did the ep serve? Nothing really. It just showed that our MC is a smart cookie but we already knew that and it doesn't reveal a new side of his 'smartness' either,neither does it form new bonds amongst other characters. Back to the idea of society creation,again there is mystery but not enough is revealed to make you appreciate the world building.


I do like the MC. He's unique and it's an interesting choice but just one interesting character in a pantheon isn't enough to elevate the show to greatness. I have seen a lot of anime where all side characters have unique features and manage to stand out whenever they get a chance while the story keeps moving forward & our MC continues on his journey. Thus,my relatively low rating for this anime. On to Season 2!

this was one of my first animes and jm really sad about that

this anime tried so hard to be a smart psychological anime but it’s just stupid with an unknown plot.

it went from something going on at the school to them being on an island and someone stealing a girls panties (???) that wss the plot of like 5 episodes, litterally

i dont remember most of this anime and i dropped it mid-season 2, im quite happy i dont remember this anime, as its so ass

in conclusion if u want to feel edgy and smart while watching the most ass and boring anime ever with a ... messed up scrambked plot then classroom of the elite is for you!
