Original Anime 'Endride' Announced for Two-Cours Broadcast from Spring 2016

An official website has opened for an original fantasy adventure anime titled Endride, which will be broadcast for 24 episodes on NTV and other networks beginning April 2016. The two main characters are designed by Kazushi Hagiwara and Nobuhiro Watsuki. Hagiwara's character (Emilio Langheim) is pictured on the left, while Watsuki's character (Shun Asanaga) is pictured on the right.

Further information on the series, including promotional videos, will be revealed at AnimeJapan 2016. Visitors will also be able to play a demo of an upcoming mobile game based on the series.

Synopsis
Shun Asanaga is a 15-year-old junior high school student with an optimistic and bright personality. One day, he finds a mysterious crystal in the office of his father, who is a scientist and businessman. When he touches it, the world becomes distorted, and he is sent into the world of Endra. Emilio, a prince of the kingdom of Endra is nearing his 16th birthday and despises the reigning king Delzaine. Since Emilio is now at the age when he can inherit the throne, he takes up a weapon and attempts revenge. However, because Emilio is too weak, he is captured by Delzaine and put in prison. When Emilio is in grief, the wall of his cell becomes distorted and Shun appears from there with two goals: return to his own world, and complete his revenge. What future lies ahead for the two boys trying to survive in Endra, yet raised in two different worlds?

It's really funny that you people are judging this by the synopsis and condemning it to boring or bland or not deserving of a 2-cour. I'm new to MAL but seriously, you can't judge anything before it even begins. Also, if it's not interesting to you, others can find it interesting. Yes, it might have been done to death but cliches are cliches because they work. I for one, like the fantasy genre and the MC type who are pure-hearted with a flaw here and there and male friendships/bonding in a shonen.

Also, deciding whether an anime is deserving a 2-cour base on what they think they want to see is ridiculous. You're not the one investing in this, the creators might really like these sort of stories. It's the same, why does Yaoi gets animated/sequel than *insert series* here. Not everything is for you alone.

Looks quite uninspired than bland. Comparison with Arata Kangatari seems pretty fitting.
Director and script writer aren't exactly dishing out quality works either so I'm pretty sure I won't be watching this...

I always appreciate an original anime, but I probably will not watch this one since the premise is not appealing for me. I might change my mind if the PV is looking good.

It sounds pretty generic though. Not planning to watch this, but maybe it will surprise.
