Not gonna happen, this will probably be the last movie considering the time frame it will be worked into. The anime is probably within 10 months of catching up to the manga and with Togashi's consistent output of only at the most 30 chapters at a time, the anime will most likely end at the conclusion of the 13th Chairman arc regardless of what Togashi does with the rest of his manga. |

| I don't think that this would be a movie version of the Heaven's Arena arc, since that has already come and gone in the current anime. They'll probably do something with an original story like the first movie. |

New movie will be named "Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission" and it will be released to theaters on Dec 27th this year. |
| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| Now that I've seen the first movie I'm a lot more skeptical about the quality of this :/ They'll end up forcing non-canon developments on canon characters/organizations again, at least it sounds like that... |
