They have VERY similar storyline and are both of the Magical Girl type of anime. They both have interesting romance plots. You can't help but like both of them if you liked the other.
Both are about five girls with powers..Tokyomewmew is shorter and can be watched in one sitting and enjoyed.
If you like magic girls like sailor moon you may like TMM. The transformations are similar and in TMM are a character similar of tuxquedo mask
Although the animation style is quite different there's a bunch of similarities between these two: group of girls with super powers, one of them is the leader, there's a sentence they say everytime they transform and there's an object that gives them the power to do so, the leader is in love with someone who is also part of the good ones and helps in battles, enemies come from other planet oh and of course there's some cute being (an animal in sailor moon and a robot in tokyo mew mew) that helps them in theory but usually not in battle.
Main characters are girls. Morphing girls :D. They morph and get super powers and fight evil demons (in tmm they fight aliens, but when they take over an animal and transform isn't it the same?). They all fight with the power of Love.
-Team of 5
-Magical Girls
-Long Series
-Comdey
-Romance
-Action
Both shows have similar character ideas and similar stories.
both are about magic girls, shoujo anime.
They both are about a group of girls with magical powers and about saving the world from evil.
Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew are both Shojo animes about cute teenage girls who gain magical powers to fight evil. They are so similar to each other, that if you liked one, I can pretty much guarantee you'll like the other. They both have five female leads, both have cute girls kicking ass, both have horrible English dubs, and they both have very similar protagonists. Ichigo Momomiya of TMM and Usagi Tsukino of SM are both sweet, bubbly, clumsy girls with huge hearts and great character development.
I think they're both great, but personally, I like Sailor Moon a bit more.
well, they're both about magical girls, and actually, they're both good

Both are mahou shoujo anime centering around 14-16 year old girls, both leads have similar air-headed personalities, and both have similar episode formats and plots. If you like mahou shoujo, there's no reason not to give this a try. (^_^)b
Both have girl fighters on little skirts that destroy enemies on filler episodes over and over again with the same attacks. More credits to the originality of Sailormoon, since the clothing, character and situation analogy is posterior for Wedding Peach.
Main characters are girls. They morph and get super powers and fight evil demons. They all fight with the power of Love.
They are almost the same show. This is because they are both girl fighting groups fighting in the name of love.
This is similar to Sailor Moon because not only was it made about the same time, it even uses some of the samd Japanese Voice Actors. But not because of that and not because it's a Magical Girl Story...it's just a nice storyline. Cute heroines and bad villians. Boys to fall in love with but have a mystery about them. It's just plain a fun story!
One word, these series are identical twins.
Both are mahou shoujo anime, very similar only with different themes.

Transformation sequences, glittery battles, and an all-girl team of superheroes. Heck, even one of the MM:PPP villians looks strinkingly similar to Queen Beryl from Sailor Moon.
One idiot girl, one handsome boy, 82748294 other girls that together with the first girl fight the evil, and some kind of romance.
Both are shoujo anime with transforming magical girls aiming for a certain goal
Similar kind of mahou shoujo.

Similar anime transformation sequences every time, ''fighting'' style is the same as well. i.e. they use cute stuff!!!
The story is simple and basic, both main lead characters have a guy they like, but cant do anything about it yet on the normal side, but more complicated on their ''powers side'', i.e. the reason they have to transform and fight! Both seem somewhat shy.
Each episode usually has ''enemy'' to defeat as well as story progress. i.e. not just bullshit fighting!
Well like the person said before me they have similar character transformations and sort of the same atmosphere with love and comedy.
both are about magic girls, shoujo anime.
They are both about saving and protecting something using magicpowers. I personally think that it happens more in Shugo Chara than in Sailor Moon. Shugo chara is, compared, a newer version of sailor moon but ofc with a different story. They both have that bighearted and optimistic girl with the potential to save everyone. The art in shugo chara is much better than sailor moon, I think that the quality really variates between episodes.

Sailor Moon have to find crystals and Cardcaptor Sakura have to find cards :)
Romance - Cheack!
Comedy - Check!
It's very good i promise :)
both are about magic girls, shoujo anime.
Both feature magical girls, romance, saving the world, cute talking sidekicks, and some pretty awesome attacks. They also feature some pretty cool transformation sequences (more so the Sailor Moon transformations) and neat power-ups.
Kero-chan is so kawaii!!!

both magical and transforming, guy protects girl and likes each other. very similar
The story have a magic girl in the story!! But sailor moon are better in story and romance!! <3<3<3<3<3
Jeanne was clearly inspired from Sailor Moon, but obviously couldn't reach its epicness.
Both are mahou shoujo anime in which the protagonist is the average air-headed schoolgirl... who is actually the reincarnation of someone, and who can tranform into a blonde heroine and fight against the evil.
Both of the male protagonists, at the beginning, always tease the girl, who, initially, hates him, but later on the two become a couple.
Also, Sailor Moon had an episode about possessed paintings (which is what Jeanne is about).
The main difference is that while in Sailor Moon the transformed version of Usagi is identical to her usual self, in Jeanne Maron changes completely.

Duh. Both show girls in a positive fashion, are animated by Toei, and have very similar plot designs (new villains replacing defated villains, cute mascots, learning the power of teamwork/friendship, etc.). If you like Pretty Cure, then there is no doubt that you'll like Sailor Moon.
There are beautiful girl-warriors, who are looking for crystals. Series have similar number of episodes. There are some cute pets-advisors too.
both have you finding an animal of sorts that asks you to transform to help save the world. both have you looking for lost crystals. both have a story of finding new friendships.

Both are about a sixteen year old girl who transforms and has the power of the elements. It's magical!
Like Sailor Moon, Pretear is about a normal everyday girl that gets to do extraordiary things to save those she loves. She fights the forces of evil to save her world, and does it with style of course. Like Sailor Moon, Pretear also has it's share of corny romance, funny name calling, nifty costumes, odd enemies.
Female characters who live a double life. Normal girls who attend school, and then later having the ability to transform into a new outfit and become hero's! They're just about always happy :]]
There's a bit more romance in Sailor Moon then there is in Pretear.
Both of these characters also have the help of their friends when they're fighting. Sailor moon has a group of female girls from school and Pretear has a group of Knights from another world.
Magic/Romance/Fantasy.

They are with no doubt alike, bote have transformation girls that never give up and are always together also Misty Knight-sama from Twin Angel and Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon are almost alike, if you like one you also might like the other
Main chara are kawaii girls who transform into heros. In both there's a tuxedo man who saves girls when it's nessesary. Moreover, they both are related to school

Both stories revolve around a group of girls with magical powers on they're journey to save the world. I could also say that MKR is CLAMP's version of Sailor Moon :), and not a bad one at all.
Mahou shoujo. Save the day, save the world.

Because both have transforming girls , fight for a plant they love and has some romance on it pretty cool!!
|
|

This is the mahou shoujo supreme power!

This is the mahou shoujo supreme power!

They are both magical fighting teams that transform to fight evil foes
|
|
|
They both fight, transforms, love

Devil Hunter Yohko is the rated R version of Sailormoon. Same silly dialogue, with dramatic battles against cliche monsters all the while seeking to preserve the heroins love interests. Only difference is that Sailor Moon wasn't constantly trying to get laid or brutally decapitating monsters.
|
|
|
They are in middle school and they are superheroes they tranform although there's a little more romance in Sailor Moon odds are you'll like them both
|
|
|
A wide, strong, and interesting female cast, fantasy, magic, romance, fights, shoujo-ai, roses, bishounen.
They have an overall similar mood, prettiness, and imagery.
Note: I’m referring to all the Sailor Moon seasons altogether.

The Transformations, romance, practically everything.

I'm actually quite surprised that Sailor Moon isn't already on Princess Tutu's recommendation list (and vice versa). Ahiru and Usagi are very similar to each other. Both of these girls are pretty clumsy and make some rather strange mistakes, and both find themselves falling for a boy. Both must work to get their love's memories back, and they transform into magical girls to fight and save the day while somehow balancing schoolwork and social lives on top of that.

Both are Magical Girls & romance anime, but Nanatsuiro Drops's shorter

Other magical girl series may have more similarities with Sailor Moon on the surface, but few have such a similar spirit as Nurse Angel Ririka SOS. Both series were made in the 1990s and have similarly simplistic cel animation -- if one appeals visually to you, the other certainly will as well. Each is aimed at young girls but still portrays emotion and character growth in more mature ways than one would first expect. Finally, each series features a team of villains who can, at times, be more entertaining that the heroes, with distinct personalities that set them apart not as villains, but as characters.

same type of fight scenes

If you enjoyed BSSM you may enjoy SP. Shamanic Princess can be considered a "dark" take on the magical girl genre. There is an underlying love story and a cute animal companion. ;o

they bolth are cute and realy good for young kids that like animals
|
|
|
they both are magical girl grnre and go around with weapons and defeat bad guys

Ayashi no Ceres gave me the very same feeling that I first had when I first watched Sailor Moon many years ago. Both series had princess or "princess-like" outer-space beings that fell in love with men that helped them but had a past that men don't remember. Both stories touched my heart that I didn't think an anime couple could.

They are both cute and funny mahou shoujos from the early 90s.

LSPR is supposed to be a SM parody, but trust me, SM is MUCH better (of course it doesn't have the hentai elements, but tha characters or much more fleshed, and a single episode of it is funnier).
But this only applies if you like magical girls, if you also like hentai, SM will dissappoint you.

|
|
It is similar to Sailor Moon in many way they transform and fight monsters that are made by other monster pretty much the same so if you like Sailor Moon you would like this show
|

Both are anime with magical girls, fighting the evil.
Both are part of love in a less and in one more.
