As some of you might have noticed, i have moved the about me section to my blog, making it cleaner here.
Please read the about me blog if you really care to be my friend!
from what I've read, the manga is in its final story arc and is supposed to reach a conclusion soon. I have no idea how long "soon" exactly is though. chances are, the studio that will produce the anime won't have to resort to filler episodes because the source material is already way ahead of them.
You definitely have to watch Blade of the Immortal. its been 14 years since it started publishing and it finally gets an adaptation. definitely some good stuff by Hiroaki Samura. I advice you to watch the anime first before proceeding to read the manga (that is if you plan to) because the manga is so good that people tend to have unrealistically high expectations (like me for instance) for the anime.
hehe, I'm not surprised by you reaction to Detroit Metal City. mine was similar to your initial impression of it, though not in that exact context. tbh, I'm not sure why I find its (the manga) obscenity so damn entertaining but I still keep reading nonetheless. ROFL
I originally planned on watching just 5 shows this season. there's Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians which aired like 3 weeks ago. I already have Sekirei's first episode downloaded so that's another one crossed of the list. the other 3 are Tetsuwan Birdy: Decode, Blade of the Immortal (gawdly manga. I hope they don't screw this one up) and Detroit Metal City (which is set to be released in August). I'm still pondering on Slayers Revolution since I like the series very much. Problem is, its been ages since I last saw it that I vaguely remember what exactly happened lol. overall, this season looks rather weak which means fewer shows to add to my already long list. =D
holy shit, how'd you know?! I was using a telescope 10 miles from your location.
Indeed it is. Claymore has become exponentially better in the last 3 chapters. much better than all the bland fights (at times) in the previous couple of chapters. amazing plot development is amazing. though I'm kinda irked that lolis have managed to worm their way in.
Well, I've practically run out of anime to watch lately. Maybe you can recommend me another? No particular genre just a theme of "unique". Sorry for being difficult :-p
I've always liked Inuyasha (the anime) and I've always held it with high regards but it is true that the manga gets too dragged on. The mangaka could have ended it...100 or 150 chapters earlier but chose to add meaningless chapters. Overall it was a pretty quick read (even quicker since I've finished the anime and I already knew what would happen) I would say I enjoyed it since the ending was pretty good.
