Both are mahou shoujo anime centering around 14-16 year old girls, both leads have similar air-headed personalities, and both have similar episode formats and plots. If you like mahou shoujo, there's no reason not to give this a try. (^_^)b
Both have girl fighters on little skirts that destroy enemies on filler episodes over and over again with the same attacks. More credits to the originality of Sailormoon, since the clothing, character and situation analogy is posterior for Wedding Peach.
Main characters are girls. They morph and get super powers and fight evil demons. They all fight with the power of Love.
Both are older magical girl shows with very similar transformations, new-villain-per-week episodes, and push-and-pull romance.
This is similar to Sailor Moon because not only was it made about the same time, it even uses some of the samd Japanese Voice Actors. But not because of that and not because it's a Magical Girl Story...it's just a nice storyline. Cute heroines and bad villians. Boys to fall in love with but have a mystery about them. It's just plain a fun story!

Wedding Peach will feel a lot like Sailor Moon when you watched the show. I want to add that Sukehiro Tomita, the creator of Wedding Peach was also one of the writer for the Sailor Moon TV series. Also Kazuko Tadano served as a character designer for both Sailor Moon & Wedding Peach TV series. Also, some of the ideas in Wedding Peach may have derived from Sailor Moon too. So if you want to watch something similar or feels like Sailor Moon, then Wedding Peach will fill in that same excitement.
The two animes are closely similar in which you can obviously see in how they transform and such. The main lead in Wedding Peach is a little ignorant and rambunctious just like the lead in Sailor Moon. I would say the plot of the stories are very similar and the main difference would be instead of changing into wedding gowns the characters in Sailor Moon change into little sailor outfits hence the name :).
Both of these follow magical girls in school with twists and turns and enough romance to make your heart content! They are both super adorable and entertaining. :)
Both anime are magical girl heroines, which share many things in common, but the most important thing is that both series are very good and enjoyable.
If you like the Mahou Shoujo genre or the theme of superheroes (in this case superheroines), these anime may interest you.
