I'm doing fine too. :)
Finally starting to get back into enjoying regular titles once again.
How have you been?
Hope you'll have a great birthday :D
I guess the rape scene really bothered me because I can tell where the romance is going to head towards. It really kills me. lol
Also, I think the main cast is dandy. The past life-characters are generic BUT I was invested in that gang specifically. Before Volume 6, I wanted to see how their lives unfolded. I wanted to see how life/personality would be added to those generic characters. What really surprised me was the fact that Gyokoran was Shion's rival. From the getgo, I assumed Shuukaido would be because of Ren's hatred for him.
To be honest, characters like Shion really bothers me. The "woe is me" type. Reminds me too much of Sasuke Uchiha lol. Unless a story gives them room to change, I can't forgive the scumbag attitude. For instance, Kyo in Fruits Basket has a similar personality, but he isn't as crappy as a person, so him finding love and kindness made sense to me. Shion is just angsty and I just can't find the appeal in him; I just have a feeling that the story is going to try to force me to like him because of his cool and misunderstood-vibe, as do most stories attempt to do the same.
And let me not get started with Mokuran, lol. I instinctively love these characters, but she's just a dumbo.
You know, 7 Seeds also has an attempted rape scene. The difference is, I'm sure that the character's redemption arc will not specifically be centered around that girl loving or hating him. His change is gradual, not instant.
I'm so sad lol. I felt so invested in Please Save My Earth. The story itself has this depth and this eerie feeling that I cant compare to other series.
I want to know/read and find out what happens, but I also know I'm just gonna be more mad and upset. T_T
the story itself is very eerie. It has this outer-body feeling that makes me very intrigued. The romance element was a little iffy, but the concept was interesting that I was curious to know more-- very well thought out if I made add. BUTTTTTTTTTT then they go back to the past life, and my irritation began to escalate to the sky. First of all, those characters are generic. I can't with Shion and the others. More to it, the romance and the romantic element to rape killed me. I just can't go further if somehow the story makes such glorification of those two said characters and makes it happen throughout reincarnation. Also, I really can't stand his one-dimensional angsty personality. anyway, is there any incentive to going on with the story? Character redemption? I'm so bummed because I read 6 volumes and saw so much originality, but I'm so mad at it too.
