(Chronically sick, so my replies depend on how I feel)
Me in a nutshell:
You can call me Dante
Personality:
I'm an sarcastic and cynical bastard who has insomnia. It's part of my personality now.
My hobbies are:
anime (of course, why else would I be on this site),
reading (Give me horror, gay or fantasy and I'm sold),
Drawing (Visit my Deviantart profile),
Cooking (Love me some good food),
writing (I'm a writer and I will finish books:P)
Cosplay (Being fabulous is my style)
Gaming (Pokemon lover and now addicted to animal crossing as well)
Favourite genres:
- Horror (The creepier, the better)
- Sci-fi (I love me some time travel or dystopia anime)
- Psychological (Mindfuck all the way)
- Action (Good animated action scenes are god tier)
- Romance (Yaoi/yuri included)
- Sports (I love the hype I get from sport anime)
- Historical (I just love stories within a different time setting)
- Music (I love some good anime about actual music)
- Drama (Some good written depression)
Things I don't like in anime:
- Too much mecha, so only robot on robot fighting
- Unlikable protagonist in Harem/reverse Harem
- Stupid overpowered protagonist in isekai
- I just can't stand idol anime
- Stupid little sisters who don't add anything to the plot
- Filler episodes where nothing progresses
- Almost no progress in romance anime
- Unnecessary narrating
10 – Best of the best. Amazingly written in every way. Characters unique and realistic. These shows had the most impact on me.
9 – These shows are amazing in their own way. It’s only a matter of personal taste that I couldn’t give them a perfect score.
8 – Shows under this rating are still an amazing watch. Mostly exist of good story, good characters or both. Did have some flaws, but overall very enjoyable.
7 – These shows are enjoyable but have really noticeable flaws. Characters might not be as good and story not that developed, but everything with this score is still a good watch.
6 – These shows aren’t good or bad. They are decent at best. Characters and story don’t stand out and the flaws are in your face. Don’t really recommend anything with this score or below.
5 – These shows are mediocre at best. Might have some enjoyment in there, but basically a bad show.
4 – Bad shows that really throws them flaws at your face. Could even become an annoyance to watch. Basically a waste of time.
3 – Just trash; these shows are horrible in every sense. The writing is all over the place and ruins everything.
2 – Did they even try to make this show decent? No; not with this score. Just pure waste of time and…likely not ever gonna finish anything with this score.
1 – Shows that disgust me. Should be burned from existence.

I think that your response just came in time, very surprising too. If it came at an expected time, then I wouldn't be as surprised.
Anyway, I still find it hard to believe that an author would ask a studio or entertainment firm directly to make changes in his original story.
One thing for certain is that both stories revolve around characters with power seeking to use it. Misuse of power and the consequences of power as well.
As for other manga, I just moved on to Devilman Saga which is more or less the same as other installments in its respective franchise. I'll read standalone stuff after going from the original to Shin to Lady to Saga to Violence Jack. Yes, much later and I think of Devilman as the precursor to Shin Megami Tensei, both franchises being centered on human to monster transformations. Sometimes revolving around misuse of power.
I remember when I saw a tragic death of some interesting character in Digital Devil Saga (part of the SMT franchise) after being fully bloodlusted like the old-school werewolf.
Harry Potter has taught us that an animagus transforms at will and doesn't go berserk.
Speaking of Fafner, I hope to see season 3 delving into the cosmic origins of those silicon-based lifeforms called the festum, some oppressive alien race. As oppressive as some alien race that once enslaved martians in the DC universe.
The original Blue Submarine no. 6 story is in total need of reprinting, but Japanese sources say that the manga and Gonzo adaptation don't have subtle differences. The '98 OVA is definitely more dystopian with hints of genetic engineering and I find it weird that said original story's writer would ask Gonzo to make the story seem that different. The adaptation is still cool despite its inconclusive ending, but overall, I still marvel at its special effects or detailed CGI.
The original story is still stuck in obscurity and still in need of reprinting, but I do know that it's about a world full of submarines. The antagonists are terrorists and human instead of those manufactured fish people with genetically engineered whales used as war animals that one would see in said Gonzo OVA. None of the antagonists in that same manga is a mad scientist that used genetic engineering to create some warmongering fish people to wipe out billions of innocent people.
So yes milady, the 60s manga was never as dark, post-apocalyptic or as dystopian as say Fafner. It was certainly more about people using submarines as everyday transportation. Still, some characters in that world were implicitly seeking to use isotopes or nuclear weapons for intimidation, personal gain, power, etc. Kind of like some Atlantians did in an episode of Justice League.
I'm surprised to see that, is Dutch that hard to learn or is The Netherlands merely your current residence? I heard that German is difficult, even from native speakers, but not Dutch.
Truth be told, I put numerous anime from two decades ago (Solty Rei, IGPX, Gate Keepers, Zegapain, Madlax, Geneshaft, Witchblade, Stand Alone Complex, Rahxephon, Fafner, Big O season two, etc) and a lot of things over currently trending anime.
I'm also thinking of putting indie comics over currently trending manga. One of the last manga that I read came out a decade ago and is extremely rare with a story much different than anything currently trending on the likes of Manganato. A lot of currently trending manga on those manga reading sites are actually manhwa and I'm not that crazy about Korean comics besides Ragnarok.
After all these years, I still don't see Blue Submarine no. 6 added onto manga reading sites and many people will never know the original story, with or without fan translations. Neither that or Silent Möbius content.
Oh ye sometimes if super good anime i read manga too if i get curious hahaha ;D
Damn what did you watching? how was your goal ''watch all of those'' going?XD
if rly i not rly care of them too , but if i start anime and see they have mini series or ovas or some other stuff i always watch them too xD some are fun some are meh , up too anime i guess
