Hey! How goes it? My name is Michael. I'm just a guy who loves watching movies, TV shows, reading, drawing, cosplaying, and studying Japanese. I'm fiercely loyal to my friends and I really cherish my friendships, so feel free to follow & share your thoughts on anything with me.
I don't have a favorite genre, but what I look for most in any series/movies are interesting/thought provoking stories and themes, engaging characters I can connect with, great writing, beautiful music & animation, & at least some heart tugging moments/sincerity.
10 - This is beyond perfection, I will be offended if you don't like this.
9 - Basically flawless, brilliant.
8 - Very good, hard to argue with.
7 - Could've been better, but I enjoyed it.
6 - It was pretty decent, not the best.
5 - Eh, fine, not remarkable.
4 - Not total trash, but ouch.
3 - Maybe I liked a song or two, but that's all.
2 - Actual trash, should not be a thing.
1 - This was made as a joke right?
Tomoyo Daidoji is the princess of Kurogane's Nihon Country who sends the ninja on his quest. She has a very kind and open personality, willing to sacrifice her own well-being for that of others. With her extreme level of power, she has the ability to cross dimensions and have precognitive visions through her dreams.
Kotori is known for having her head in the clouds. Despite this, she is μ's designer along with Nico Yazawa. Kotori has a very huge aptitude for fashion and is very good at drawing costumes for the group. Kotori is shown to be very kind and supportive to her friends and genuinely cares about them, especially their feelings. However, this can go too far as Kotori usually backs Honoka up when she is scolded by Umi.
It's rare to not hear back from you, when I send something as significant as a birthday greeting. I noticed you've not been watching so much anime (recently, or for a while now). I hope you've not gone off RWBY. I thought Blake was one of your main girls? What happened to the special 'connection' I thought we had?
Maybe our affinity will go even higher if you watch the Evergarden Special and Gaiden Movie, yourself.
And you'll get to enjoy the dancing scene/sequence in its full glory, and in the context of the story.
There's really no excuse. Take my hand, and follow my lead ;)
Ohayo again! I always forget to reply to messages on here when I come on to update my anime numbers 😅
Thanks for saying that, it is hard without her because she was my special baby. But life still continues to happen. The feeling changes as time goes on, but its still so hard to go home and not see her. Cosplay and my friends have always been my escape, so thanks for being here for me...!
I'm sorry to hear you are also dealing with lack of insincerity as well lately. It can be very tough and make you question everything you think is true about all your friends. I've very recently had a situation like that too where one of my closest real life friends revealed she had been being fake nice with me for so long with me because she thought I had been being fake with her. It really hurts to learn that some people feel that way, so I really understand where you are coming from with people changing unexpectedly.
Absolutely! I always love to see anime films winning awards in the US as well, and ESPECIALLY Ghibli films. I've always felt like, while all anime is beautiful, Ghibli films are a work of art. I love when even normies come to appreciate them, like Boy and the Heron. I saw its recently came to online platforms so I absolutely cant wait to rewatch it until I fully understand everything about the story. Im so happy you got to watch thaf through the TV as well!
Ah thats so happy that the public responds so well to your cosplays and otakuwares! That must be California for you. Usually I get confused stares because its mostly normies over here. 😅 Its still fun to catch them of guard. I also just got wigs for anya and nezuko, so I hope to debut those as public cosplays soon. Since Tanjiro did so well for you, maybe Nezuko will also do well for otakus to approach me too. Has your next trip happened yet? Thats very exciting! Im planning cosplays for my trips as well now xD
Thats so awesome that you've found so much Miraculous merch just like that! I ironically still do not have any. But I love that figure with ladybug and chat noir holding hands on the rooftop. I love their scenes together like that! I have also been thinking about getting Uta and Hibiki fron Bubble... its my favorite anime of the year afterall! I also plan to make an Uta cosplay soon, so having their figures watch over me would bring great inapiration. Maybe I can also find some deals like you did!
Well arigato! Hearing that from you makes me happy. Thats so awesome you get inspired through different cosplayers like thay...! It sure is satisfying to check a character off. I've been following as many cosplayers as I can because I love to draw that inspiration as well. From posing to crafting, all cosplayers have a unique skill and I love to learn from them too! That "wait I could do this" feeling is really so exciting!
Oh wow really?? Thats so awesome!! Im so happy that my aesthetic post inspired you! Yours looks amazing as well and ia very uniquely yours. I hope you have been doing well lately & have been enjoying the cosplay adventure!
Hey there again... I completely forgot all about my messages on here and my other platforms, I just got so behind when I didnt feel like talking due to everything that happened. I remembered our fun conversations and found the chat again, even though its been a while. I hope you are still doing good? My busiest semester of school started back after we last talked back in January, but the real reason is I had a very tragic thing happen... my beloved furr baby whos been with me since 2007 suddenly got very sick and is no longer with me...Its been a little while since then, but it still hurts to go home and see her not there... I hope you have had a better couple of months than I did.
If we're talking about Boy and the Heron, did you see how it won that award at the Oscers? A friend and I were talking about how its ironic that Miazaki's easiest to understand film (Spirited Away) and his most convoluted film (Boy and the Heron) both won. But goodness it was VERY deserved, I'm just happy the western audience saw it that way as well. Its coming back to theaters again too, and I'm SO excited to ecperience that whimsy magic again that we were talking about. Thats one of the things that attracts me so much to Boy and the Heron... its what I imagine pure unfiltered Ghibli looks like...
Thats so true what you say, and I love the fact that you want to catch the otaku's attraction when they see you repping your favorite anime in public. Its such a special feeling to be recognized, or to recognize others that you can immediately connect to - just like you and the hairdresser. I definitely grew up thinking this way cuz everytime I got dropped off at some kids activity, I always looked for anyone repping anime. Actually speaking of your bus and train rides, you actually inspired me to do one of my own and its coming up soon! I'll be doing the same - repping my favorite anime to get attention from other otakus around.
I know what you mean xD I have a Kanao figure protecting my art studio space. You're making me wanna get a figure now lol. This may be hard to believe, but I did not know there was a Marinette figure?? 😱 Gosh... a $7 figure?? Thats insanely cheap O_o
WHOA!!!!!!! I see what you mean and I am so deeply appreciating the aesthetics of the Ef manga pages. I can tell you have been enjoying it as well.
Hows Steven Universe going? Or whatever your current watch is right now.
As for my Yona cosplay, I did get the one you reccomended! It wasnt the cotton I wanted though, so I tried to return it... they refunded me but told me to keep it! I'm now actually thinking of making an even better Yona outfit myself... like you said - I gotta do her justice!
Actually theres a big reason I want to make the outfit myself now... I recently went to a big anime convention and met so many talented cosplayers there, and its safe to say they inspired me SO much! Ever felt that way when looking at advanced cosplayers?
Also I noticed you updated your profile - it looks cool!
I know mine needs to be fixed lol I just havent felt like it all this time.
Thank you for such a sweet and thoughtful message. I've noticed that you've not been as active on MAL or with anime and manga as you have been in the past, but I'm touched that you remembered me and made the effort with a personalized greeting. I think we've been MAL friends for 4 consecutive years now, or something close to that. I'd like to be a caring and loyal friend myself, so if you ever need someone to talk to, and that can be about general life things or topics other than anime, then please feel free to get in touch. You can even speak to me through private message if it's something confidential or that you'd rather keep between just the two of us. OK, take care, Michael ;)

Even though you've not seen the Evergarden Gaiden Movie or Special yet, I thought I'd let you off because of the 44.3 affinity ;)
