Watch the old anime then read the manga from the beginning. The old show is entertaining but it leaves out important characters to the story. The Golden Age Arc movies are great IMO because the CGI isn't that bad but it's your choice on that. So I suggest watch the 1997 anime then read the manga from the beginning or just start the manga

Hey! I personally only watched the movies, but those alone offered more than enough insight as to what happened during the the one year war. The series is just elongated with extra filling material, but if you really like what you see, you can watch the series just to get some more content. I wish I could tell you how worth it the series is to watch, as it is a whole 49 episodes long, and that is quite an investment.

But yeah, all in all, the movie trilogy is the safe choice. If you want to know the exact order of which gundam series to watch, here is a link of a guide that I found to be very informative.

I never thought that a sequel to FLCL was necessary but I am still curious about how they will turn out. My expectations are fairly high.

I really enjoy and appreciate the Monogatari Series because of it's likable and interesting characters and it's creative and expressive execution of storytelling, stylistic visuals and somewhat existential themes. I wouldn't entirely recommend it to everyone, considering that it consists of lots of dialogue and fanservice. I would recommend it to fans of FLCL, though.

I prefer the out of order aka Airing Order. This is then followed by Haruhi 2009 (do not skip any episodes, no joke) and then by Disappearance.

Hmmm, SAO was my first and even tho there's so much hate on it I still find the LN really great. Then there's TAMNI both which are great.
Other good series like Utsuro Hako Mari, Danmachi, Overlord, Rokka no Yuusha and Rokujouma no Shinryakusha! (haven't read it but heard it's pretty good and I liked the anime quite a bit)
