So far, I've been quite amazed by both adaptations. Animation & visuals, voice acting, music and pacing were on point imo

Frieren's adaptation is fantastic, the animation and the voice acting feel very polished. But I had put the manga on hold after vol 6, despite having already bought 3 more because of my bad manga collecting habit. A lot of manga readers were hyped up by Gigguk, but I don't think this manga is made to be enjoyable for everyone. (A friend of mine didn't even like Vol 1) Well, the pacing is definitely not it's strongest aspect. (After all, this is a story reflecting on time and relationship) Don't know if they will change that in the anime...but I will stick around until the end this time, simply because of there aren't enough high quality pure fantasy anime out there.

For Kusuriya, it is kinda sad that it is airing way later than most Fall anime. This show deserves way more attention in the west. If they don't screw up the animation/pacing/have delays later on, this will be my anime of the year.

This season is packed with quite a lot of trashy-but-still-fun show. You can start 100 nin no kanojo or undead unluck (I am saving them to binge at once). Or u can pick any 7 point or above show, depending on your genre preferences.


Or you can watch Undead Murder Farce from last season. Not bad for a detective show

Yes definitely check it out, everything about is so perfect in the way each episode is set up. Madoka Magica is so so creative even with their style of the "witches." The third movie of Madoka Magica is also an amazing sequel.

Yeah chihayafuru is a pretty long series but I think its one of those series that you can't help but binge. That might be the case just for me though because once I start watching a sports match I can't stop until I figure out who won the match lol

Its hard to say since its one of the only LN I've ever read. Theres not really a drastic change in its writing and continues with the mystery so if you aren't hooked yet, I can't really say to keep reading. If you feel interested again then you should give it another shot!

Is there any anime you've been really enjoying recently?

I feel like cross game is the ideal anime for me. Its not perfect but its execution is well done and I love how natural the story flows. The amount of good episodes there is makes up for episodes with not much action also. Its always interesting watching characters slowly become better people too and in cross game, you can't help but cheer for the characters

Haha I love giving recommendations. I recommend Chihayafuru and Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica!

The main reason for chihayafuru is the mix of romance and sports, similar to cross game although I did enjoy cross game a little more. I really enjoyed the character development throughout and I found it really engaging and interesting to be immersed in a game I'm not familiar with. I do know some people who did not enjoy chihayafuru so it may not be for everyone but I say you should at least give it a few episodes and see if you like characters and the story.

For Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, I highly highly recommend you check it out. I'm not sure how much you know about the story but its best to go in as blind as possible so I won't mention anything. It has genius writing and completely changed up the mahou shoujo genre with its creativity. Everything in the show has meaning and makes full sense and its even better if you rewatch it.

Yeah thats understandable. Thats one of the reasosns I rewatch anime so often. I already know the story so I can just have it in the background while doing something else and I don't have to commit to finish it.

I'm so glad I found another cross game lover!! That makes me so happy knowing someone else appreciates it. As a shoujo lover, the hint of romance is perfection amongst the baseball ^^ yeah you shouldn't force yourself to keep watching because then the whole experience becomes tedious. Yeah...its never fun having to clear out on the anime you don't want to watch. I force myself to do it but its definitely not enjoyable lol

Yeah JJK has been so amazing recently! I also really enjoyed episode four. You should go watch it. I remember always seeing toji everywhere during the manga and wow I think I understand the hype for him. He is so cool.

I feel like its hard to say anything yet since things can still change but for the most part I'm not dreading anything I'm watching. I'm trying to be more selective with what seasonals to try out and its been so much better lol
besides jujutsu, I'm honestly enjoying Watashi no shiawase na kekkon. Now its story is just like cinderella but I really enjoy the animation and the wholesomeness of the romance. I must enjoy it because I especially like shoujo anime haha

Yeah agreed, now that you mention it I forgot that the person who reincarnated to myne was a full adult. She strangely plays a role of a kid good lol I would love to see an isekai where the person who dies, reincarnates as someone their age. (I seriously cannot understand why this is not normal) thats a good idea, maybe I'll try another anime from the challenge.

Agreed! The animation blew me away. I genuinely believe MAPPA cares about JJK. Its so awesome the quality that was put into the show. I've been talking about this with a few other people but when I first watched the trailer, I was a bit turned off at the style change but I actually prefer it now. Its perfect for the summer as well. Don't know how to explain it but the whole season feels very fresh lol.

well that's disappointing. I really enjoy watching complex games but its hard to find an anime thats good at this.

I read Owari Nochi, Asanagi-kurashi. It was a pretty chill manga. Nothing really stood out to me but it wasn't a bad read. I also enjoyed seeing different recipes written down for each dish the main character made lol
I've got to say MAL was a bit annoying on the selection of manga this time around. All of them are so low rated (not to mention that there are only two that are over 8.00 in a pool of over 40 mangas) the penguin badge is so cute though so I'm glad I participated.

If you watch the sequels of ascendance of a bookworm could you let me know how it is? It didn't seem like anything in the story would change so I ended off with just watching the first season but if the next few seasons are good I'm willing to pick it up again.

I am enjoying jujutsu too. I was initially worried when I saw the animation change in the trailer but now it feels refreshing and I actually like it. Yeah its hard to say whether zom 100 will continue showing great episodes. I know all the characters are going to go through their bucket list but I still hope for some other events to happen so its not boring and predictable. Apothecary Diaries' manga has been up on my plan to read for a while but I'm not sure if I should still check it out or wait for the anime. Really excited for it though. Strangely enough, reading the synopsis for liar liar gets me interested but please convince not to watch it if its really that bad.

I watched Ascendance of a Bookworm and it was okay, it was sort of what I expected. It just felt lacking in its story but maybe I'm more used to seeing action for isekai
