Yeah, I also found it amusing :) and how her attempts to take revenge always backfired and created some goofy comedic situation.

That would be nice :) a remake or a continuation.

Thanks! And I'm glad that you liked Skip Beat! :) my favorite thing about it was probably the acting scenes. Maybe it's just my perception, but they seemed so persuasive and engaging, more so than many live-action films/series with real actors :) I always found it kind of fascinating that acting of the anime characters in this series felt so realistic. They aren't even real actors! Oh, and Kyouko somehow became one of my favorite protagonists. I ended up really liking her character, which in turn made me like the series more :)
The manga also had a few really interesting arcs, but it mostly just drags endlessly lol I don't regret reading it as a whole at all, but it's more like "I already like it a lot, so it's hard to like it less" kind of a situation, despite all the hiccups. I do hope it'll finally get finished one day. That said, it's a shame that anime got only one season.

Happy New Year :) I don't know if you care about such dates, but I still wish you a lot of great experiences and for it to be one of the best years! If not the best :)

I guess me and Oshi no Ko didn't see eye to eye :p I thought it was very boring from start to finish. I went in completely blind, of course, and even made extra sure that nothing was weighing on my mind, so that my attention would be fully directed at Link Click S2 and Oshi no Ko, but unfortunately, both didn't do it for me as much as I hoped they would. Oh well, can't like them all. Thanks for mentioning it anyway :) I rarely watch the newest anime, so at least I had an excuse to watch a couple lol

As far as showbiz and revenge stories go, I liked Skip Beat! a lot more, even if it's lighter and shoujo-ish :)

Thanks ^_^ yeah, at some points I was like "weird but okay", but I ultimately couldn't really bring myself to care about the flawed details. I had such a great time with it!
I assume you mean that whole business with the tree at the end and similar changes (I didn't really investigate the differences between the anime and the manga, but I've seen people mentioning some things). In any case, that was quite a journey!

Never thought I'd enjoy AoT's finale so much :) I guess low expectations helped in more ways than one :p I can definitely see why it's so controversial, but I guess maybe it was blown out of proportion a bit due to a popularity factor.

You're welcome :) I hope it'll be worth your time.
I will!

Ah, I see :) well, if you ever want more of that, then the last arc of Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror is at your disposal :p

It's fine if it's not groundbreaking or unique, as long as I can genuinely enjoy it.
I usually try to be optimistic when I start something, but I can never really know what will rub me the wrong way or why. But regardless of how much I like or dislike something in the end, going through it is usually still worth the effort. Hopefully, Oshi no Ko will be more on the "like" side :)

Oh, was it placed first? The one on the train, right? I think it's supposed to be the last, but I've actually seen them shuffled around. Anyway, since there are two Bakeneko arcs, it's a bit confusing :) the original one is from Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror, which is how Mononoke came to be as a separate anime, and the second one is the reimagining from Mononoke anime itself.

I assume Oshi no Ko is still a recommendation? :p I remember about it, and I still haven't encountered a single spoiler :) hopefully, I'll finally get to it soon.

What was your favorite Mononoke arc? :)
-YaoiBoy- Jul 11, 2023 5:19 AM
Love that new nickname :p
-YaoiBoy- Apr 14, 2023 8:51 AM
Yeah, someone mentioned it to me just yesterday :) you seem to be really impressed by it! Interesting. I'll check it out at some point, but I'd prefer to wait until all the episodes are out. For the time being, I'll be busy with some other anime anyway.
-YaoiBoy- Feb 24, 2023 2:54 AM
I wouldn't say that I particularly recommended it, but it was definitely worth watching, so I'm glad that you liked it :)
-YaoiBoy- Feb 2, 2023 7:33 AM
Oh, I was pretty sure that you've already seen Paprika :) I guess I got it confused with Perfect Blue. Well, hopefully you'll find it interesting enough, whenever you get to it :)
