It's just as the title suggests. This is a list of the anime I personally, for whatever reason, dislike the most. It's entirely subjective, however, as you'll notice I've included a number of shows that I've rated higher than a 4/10, and I've included none of the shows I've given a 1/10.

Anyways, here's what I have so far:

1) Wonder Egg Priority

2) Darling in the FranXX

3) Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

4) Ousama Game

5) Guilty Crown

6) Sword Art Online

7) Tonikaku Kawaii

8) Fireworks

9) Kill La Kill

10) Mass Effect: Paragon Lost

Honorable Mentions (in no particular order):

- Overlord

- Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

- Madoka Magica

- Yugioh 5D's

- Made in Abyss

- Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

- Noragami

- Pokemon: Best Wishes!

Similar to the previous post, I wanted to list the manga I will never ever read under any circumstances, for whatever personal reason I have. Since it's not possible to have a list on my official Manga List page, I'm writing it down here. You may see some crossover from the anime list as well.

In addition to the specific manga I've listed below, I will also never read any manga that has an average score on MAL below 6.50.

NOTE: This list is subject to change over time. If I ever encounter a specific manga that I will not read for whatever reason, I’ll update the list.

Here's the list so far:

- Corpse Party
- Doujinshi
- Eromanga-Sensei
- GE: Good Ending
- Henshin
- Kiss x Sis
- Made in Abyss
- Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
- Ousama Game
- Yosuga no Sora
- Yuri on Ice!!!

Because this isn't an option and because I wanted to put them down on paper, I made this list for anime I will not, for whatever reason, watch under any circumstances. This list is subject to change and will be updated periodically over time, most likely to build a resume of new additions of anime I just will not watch.

In addition to the specific ones I've mentioned below, I will not watch any anime with an average rating on MAL between 3.00 and 6.50, with VERY FEW exceptions.

NOTE: This list is subject to changes over time. Whenever I find a specific show or movie that I refuse to watch for whatever reason, I will add it to the list.

NOTE 2: If anyone comes to me with a comment on my profile with regards to ANY of these anime for ANY reason, especially asking me questions like “why won’t you watch [Show X]” or sharing comments like “[Show Y] isn’t bad. You’re taste is just bad,” your comment will be deleted. You’re annoying, so stop it.

Here's the list I have so far:

- Boku no Pico
- Eromanga Sensei
- Hentai
- Kiss x Sis
- Koikimo
- Pico to Chico
- Pico x CoCo x Chico
- Redo of Healer
- Sword Art Online II
- Yosuga no Nora: In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone.
- Yuri on Ice!!!

In a significant number of my reviews, I mention either "Gamma Male Wish Fulfillment" or "Gamma Male" and I'm pretty sure most people have no idea what the heck I'm talking about. So, I'd thought I'd write this to explain exactly what I mean, if you happen to find this, that is. It will provide you with a brief, rhetorical explanation as well as highlight examples from several popular anime, both good and bad, as to what exactly "Gamma Male Wish Fulfillment is"so that you might better identify the writing trope.

Also, keep in mind that just because a show has this particularly atrocious writing stereotype that doesn't make them automatically bad. As you'll see in the examples I list below, some of the shows are pretty excellent. It's simply a terrible writing trope I hate more than pretty much any other that I see present in tons of anime I've watched. I also built this list to help others understand and identify the stereotype.

The Gamma Male Archetype (borrowed from www.alphagameplan.blogspot.com by Vox Day):

"Gamma Male's are the introspective, the unusual, the unattractive, and all too often the bitter. Gammas are often intelligent, usually unsuccessful with women, and not uncommonly all but invisible to them, the gamma alternates between placing women on pedestals and hating the entire sex. This mostly depends upon whether an attractive woman happened to notice his existence or not that day. Too introspective for their own good, gammas are the men who obsess over individual women for extended periods of time and supply the ranks of stalkers, psycho-jealous ex-boyfriends, and the authors of excruciatingly romantic rhyming doggerel. In the unlikely event they are at the party, they are probably in the corner muttering darkly about the behavior of everyone else there... sometimes to themselves. Gammas tend to have have a worship/hate relationship with women, the current direction of which is directly tied to their present situation. However, they are sexual rejects, not social rejects."

Gamma Male Wish Fulfillment in a Nutshell:

"No one knows how special he is. The Alphas unfairly rule and keep him down by trickery and the world is ruled by men who oppress the people and mistreat women. Even the girl he loves in a way no woman has ever been loved before doesn't realize how special he is or how happy he would make her if only she would let him. Bad people treat him badly and unfairly. But through his clever wit, the Gamma makes fools of everyone through always having the perfect thing to say, culminating when he totally humiliates the Alpha and reveals him to be an unworthy paper tiger in a brilliant verbal exchange in front of everyone, including the girl he so dearly loves. The Gamma is finally recognized as the true First Man in Rome by everyone as the girl shyly confesses that she has always seen and admired his specialness. He calls her "milady" and roguishly offers her his arm as everyone looks on enviously and applauds the smoothness of his style."

Examples in anime:

- 3-Gatsu No Lion: The male protagonist is a weak depressed individual raised by women who constantly ruminates about his insecurities and the injustices he observes in the real world. This is more Omega than Gamma, honestly, but the writing has gamma-like elements.

- Akame Ga Kill: Despite taking place in a hopelessly dark and oppressive world run by bloodthirsty psychopaths, the male protagonist finds himself recruited by a troupe of badass assassins mostly made up of hot women who are staging a revolution to rid the empire of the tyrannical ruling/aristocratic class. Two of the hot assassins hit on him several times in each episode and he never makes a move on any of them. The girl, of course, is the first one to confess her true feelings as she dies in his arms, which causes him to vengefully lash out against a world that has always treated him and others unfairly.

- Assassination Classroom: The male protagonist is a nerd who looks like a girl. Despite his physical shortcomings, he becomes one of his school's top assassins and is always the one to save the day in every major battle.

- Attack on Titan: Eren Jeagar, the show's protagonist, is a special boy with very special powers. After witnessing the death of his mother, he decides that HE is going to be the one to wipe out the titans and ends up becoming one of the first allied human-titans. As a result, he is given plot-armor out the wazoo while nearly everyone else is dying around him. He's the human militaries most important asset and is constantly protected and every so often taken off the front lines. He constantly whines about it and complains when things don't go his way.

- Charlotte: The male protagonist is a manipulative high school student who just so happens to have the most overpowered superpower imaginable: the ability to steal superpowers from anyone and use them for himself. The world is out to get these kids with supernatural abilities and its up to the protagonist and his band of merry misfits to save them all! This, despite having no training or real reason to do so other than to prove he's awesome. Towards the beginning of the story, the protagonist was also caught using his powers to manipulate women (indirectly) into falling in love with him.

- Clannad: After Story: Katsuki, one of the shows minor characters serves as the male protagonist for a sub-arc somewhere within the first 10 episodes of the season. He's hopelessly in love with a cute older girl in high school and stalks her. She's in love with another boy, but he breaks her heart. So, after this girl he likes is taken down a notch, he swoops in to comfort her so she will fall in love with him. Despite it working... somehow, it is revealed that he is a spirit and is forced to disappear from the world. This unfair and unfortunate events prevents them from being with each other. After his death, he is reincarnated as a cat and his love for her was so strong that he was able to become her cat. One day, she discovers the true identity of her cat and they are together once more.

- Darling in the FranXXX: It's basically a story about teens going through puberty and discovering their sexual side. The protagonist, a teenage boy lacking in confidence, is hit on by two beautiful girls who send him signals so obvious, it'll give you whiplash. With his partner Zero Two, a hot girl who's also a mecha robot super-weapon, they merge as one (a metaphor for underage sex) and become the only thing that can save the last of what remains of human civilization. Metaphorically speaking, only underage sex can save the day!

- Kanojo, Okarishimasu: This is EASILY the most obvious and egregious example of the "Gamma Male Wish Fulfillment" cliche you find in the writing world. Take what I described above and you pretty much have the exact story of Rent-A-Girlfriend in a nutshell. Even one of the female voice actress' for the anime adaptation laughed at what a pathetic loser the show's male protagonist, Kazuya, is during an interview. Enough said.

- My Hero Academia: The protagonist is a short, scrawny nerd obsessed with superheroes who, despite not having super powers at first, is recognized by the world's top alpha male superhero for being a special boy with a character virtue so unique it makes him oh, so special: he comes to the defense of people when they are in danger. WOW! It's almost like he's wizard! To think someone would actually act when people are being hurt, robbed, or attacked! The alpha superhero bestows upon this ordinary nobody extraordinary superpowers and despite becoming a great superhero, the kid is a massive weakling who constantly cowers in fear of his alpha male childhood bully, Bokugo, and is usually the one to save the day. One of the show's major characters, Tokoroki... his entire character arc is defined by overcoming and rejecting his piece of shit alpha male father who wants to control and dominate his life. In real life, most gammas hate and reject their fathers, and I strongly believe that this is a major source of their insecurities and feminine behaviors.

- Overlord: One of the best examples of the stereotype. The story of overlord is about a nerd who finds himself trapped inside his favorite video game as his playable character with all the immense powers and responsibilities that come with it. He's the general of an entire evil legion of evil, all the hot women want to be with him, and all the men want to be him. The women are constantly hitting on him and he's always embarrassed by it, runs away, and never EVER makes a move on any of them. All the men shower him with constant praise about how much smarter and better he is than everyone else. He always knows exactly what to say and do, and makes a fool of everyone constantly. He never loses a battle ever.

- Re Zero: The protagonist is a teenage hikikomori who is transported to another world with one of the most overpowered passive abilities possible: every time he dies or is killed, like in a video game, he respawns at a random checkpoint some time in the past. He falls in love with the first beautiful woman he sees, a half-elf with silver hair that goes by the name Emilia, and immediately makes it his life's goal to do everything he can for her like a good little simp. And when an amazing, attractive girl (Rem) falls in love with him, lives for him, make the preservation of his happiness her mission in life, and even comforts him at his darkest moments, he choses the other, more attractive, more exotic half-elf girl instead despite the fact that Emilia does not requite his feelings. His strategy for winning Emilia over? To respect her and love her like no other man could possibly respect and love her.

- Vinland Saga: One of the show's minor characters (and later, major characters), Cnute, is a shy and cowardly man who looks like a woman. He has a major, unbelievably stupid revelation about the "true" nature of love, rejects his piece of shit father, the king, and God, and decides to create a paradise on earth for Vikings free of war and violence. This relevation is so unique, original, and powerful that his determination somehow stops a maddened, berserking viking from totally ripping him in half. Despite being a feminine man with no real power, some of the world's most masculine and deadly vikings follow under him to see this paradise world achieved. He makes a fool of his father, gets him killed, and takes the throne of Denmark. He is the "secret king."

- Virtually any Isekai: Every Isekai anime that follows the typical isekai formula is essentially about an unimportant, low-status gamma male who is thrust into another more interesting world who finds himself at the center of special events and is made an integral part of those events usually without reason.
