The great hit of Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (Blu-ray 411,000 copies, DVD 337,000 copies) has largely contributed to the growth of the sales. Anime & Tokusatsu category made up 50.6% of the total Blu-ray market.

Yeah, take that RIAA and their equals bullshitting about how the internet is killing the physical mediums.
Kind of how record companies have bullshitted about them losing customers, despite increasing sales and profits every year.
i know rite its just bullshit the internet brings them more business + its a great source of very cheap to near free advertisment

as for the sales, this is good thing as it will encourage producers to invest in other medias and more obscure or unknown titles.
