'Dungeon Meshi' Second Cour Reveals Additional Cast, Theme Songs, Third Promo

The official website of the Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon) television anime series revealed on Thursday additional cast, theme songs, a second key visual (pictured), and a third promotional video for the second cour. The anime premiered on January 4 at 10:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX and 27 other channels.

Izutsumi: Mitsuho Kambe (Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku)
Maizuru: Youko Hikasa (Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou)
Hien: Arisa Shida (Little Witch Academia (TV))
Benichidori: Akari Kitou (Mato Seihei no Slave)
Inutade: Yoshino Furuya

J-rock band sumika (Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) is performing the new opening theme "Unmei" and Regal Lily (86 Part 2) performs the ending theme "Kirakira no Hai."

Yoshihiro Miyajima (SSSS.Dynazenon assistant director) is directing the anime at Trigger. Kimiko Ueno (Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine) is handling the series composition. Naoki Takeda (BNA chief animation director) is designing the characters. Yasunori Mitsuda (Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus) is composing the music.

The anime adapts Ryoko Kui's gourmet fantasy manga which began serialization on the Harta magazine in February 2014 and ended on September 15. Kadokawa released the 13th and 14th volumes on December 15.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English in October 2016. The 13th volume went on sale on March 19 and the 14th and final volume is scheduled to release on July 23.

@Playcool It's always been a culinary comedy in a Western RPG setting. Another thing is that anime does a great job of increasing the epicness and entertainment of the story.

@deg Hope it does, because so far it is just an enjoyable show at best.
It is good to watch while eating food, but Food Wars earlier seasons did sell that much better.
