Manga 'NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita' Receives TV Anime

King Amusement Creative opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Kotatsu's NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita (Somehow, I Started Living With a NEET Kunoichi) manga on Saturday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser promo, and a teaser visual (pictured).

Kotatsu originally launched the romantic comedy on their X (formerly Twitter) and pixiv accounts in January 2020 under the title NEET de Otaku na Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita (Somehow, I Started Living With a NEET Otaku Kunoichi), with Yaki Tomato in charge of the storyboard. The web manga has been published as a doujinshi for four volumes since August 2020.

Digital manga distribution company Number Nine began releasing the manga digitally in August 2020. Kadokawa acquired the manga and published the first paperback volume in August 2021 under its Dengeki Comics EX imprint. The tenth volume of the digital edition and the third volume of the paperback edition were both released in March 2023.

Synopsis
Otaku Kunoichi ≒ Otaku NEET ≒ Girl with Zero Romantic Experience!

A normal salaryman, Tsukasa, is attacked by a Youma and is gallantly saved by the appearance of the genius kunoichi, Shizuri. However, when she is not working, she becomes an otaku NEET... I never read the manga. I'm down for a sexy show about a kunoichi who just sits around at home, but the PV looks like Mato Seihei no Slave. Trailers lie, so we'll see how this turns out.

Pretty girl? The director who made Shinmai Maou no Testament? Fanservice?!? It's excellent, however it's sad that the age rating won't aim us for something hotter like Magical Girls. On top of that it's a romantic comedy and not without surprises.

I suggest you check out the rest of Yaki Tomato's work, this man has a fetish for "sudden" appearances of hotties.
