Manga 'Tasuuketsu' Gets TV Anime in 2024

Production company VAP opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Taiga Miyakawa's Tasuuketsu manga on Friday. The website revealed the production staff, cast, a teaser visual (pictured), and an announcement video. The anime is scheduled to premiere on NTV, BS-NTV, RAB Aomori Broadcasting, and other channels in 2024.

Miyaka originally submitted the manga to the First Ura Sunday Rensai Toukou Tournament in March 2013. The series advanced to the third round and ranked tenth in the final voting. The serialization officially began on Ura Sunday U-2 League in September that year before transferring to Ganma! magazine in April 2015. Micro Magazine shipped the sixth volume in December 2020.

A seven-minute original video animation produced by IMAGICA Lab. was released in January 2021.

Synopsis
The story follows a group of five in a world where people have suddenly disappeared. A mysterious self-proclaimed "Emperor" gathers five people together through anonymous messages and has them participate in a game. Participants answer the question "Do you want to live or die?" + Plot might not be the most unique but deadly games are my thing. Studio is a mixed bag (albeit I haven't seen any of their new works), but has spawned some decent original stuff in the past.
- Has a heavy shounen/super power outlook over the psychological tone. The manga has been publishing for more than a decade and I'm not keen on the art style.

I have not actually read this manga, but I've had it on my "Manga likely to recieve an anime adaptation" interest stack for a long while. It seems a lot of folks were itching for an anime adaptation of this, so I'm happy for them :).
