Tasuuketsu

During his school computer class, Saneatsu Narita is presented with a strange screen posing a yes-or-no question that quickly disappears. The next day, Saneatsu wakes up to a world where everyone, save for himself and a few others, is dead.

An announcement from a mysterious figure known only as the Emperor begins to shed light on the situation. The question that Saneatsu saw on the screen is part of a game called Tasuuketsu. Every day, the survivors will see a question appear on a screen, and answering it will determine who lives to see the next day. Responding the same as the majority will guarantee death, and the last player standing will earn the right to meet the Emperor.

Saneatsu resolves to beat the Emperor at their own game, making use of the hidden envelopes containing powers that can aid the players. With the help of his small group of friends, Saneatsu must avoid falling into the machinations of the other players and win this wicked game.

Preliminary (3/24 eps)

Tasuuketsu Fate of Majority" has quickly become one of my favorite anime series. From the very first episode, the unique and captivating concept drew me in. The storyline is masterfully crafted, with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. It's rare to find a series where predicting the next move is nearly impossible, and this anime excels in maintaining that suspense.

One of the standout aspects for me is the ability of the show to create moments that genuinely give you chills. The ending scene of episode 3, in particular, left me speechless and eager for more. These intense moments are ... a testament to the show's excellent pacing and storytelling.

While the animation quality might not be on par with some of the higher-budget productions out there, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. In fact, the slightly lower animation quality becomes negligible when you're so deeply engrossed in the plot and characters.

Having only watched three episodes, I'm already completely hooked. "Tasuuketsu Fate of Majority" offers a refreshing take on the genre and stands out with its unpredictability and gripping narrative. I highly recommend this anime to anyone looking for a series that keeps you guessing and delivers emotional highs and lows with each episode.

Although Anime rating is very low but for me its one of the best high stakes game anime I watched. Every person give its own opinion. You can't judge a 2 core anime with just 3 episodes. I recommend viewers to give it some time we don't know what story we might get in future episodes.

This anime does NOT deserve to be the lowest rated for the Summer and Fall 2024 seasons as it is far from the worst. Is the anime great? No. Is it bad? Also no. It's quite average while still being interesting to watch, even if it's not the most stunning piece of art anime has to offer.

It's a pretty standard death game anime which follows the character types and plot points that anyone who is familiar with the genre will know. The most interesting thing about this specific death game is the power system where participants can acquire "rights" which basically function as superpowers to ... a limited degree.

The world is more interesting and fleshed out than most of the characters, so if you're looking for a death game focused on complex interpersonal relationships this show probably isn't for you. If you like seeing people use their powers in interesting ways or are just here for seeing a group of scrappy teens (and adults) overcoming a death game, give this anime a shot, it might be up your alley.

One of the biggest things that brought this from a 5 to a 6 for me though is what happens after the events of episode 10, so if you don't want spoilers, this is where you should take your leave.

SPOILERS

Episode 10 is where the main group defeats the mastermind behind the death game, which you may notice is not even halfway through the anime! And yes, a new antagonist shows up for the second half, but the death game itself is fully over, for real. So from episode 11 onward the plot follows the surviving characters as they try and maintain order in a collapsed, essentially post-apocalyptic world and deal with the fallout of some of their friends dying during the final battle. This may seem like a minor thing to those less experienced in the death game genre, but many stories centering death games end with the mastermind's defeat, so seeing the characters and world deal with the aftermath of the death game and the massive death toll this particular one had on the world is refreshing while still maintaining the high energy from the first half.

Tasuuketsu brings you the latest in the death game genre, offering a thrilling mystery where a group of young kids must solve a deadly puzzle to survive.

The first word that comes to mind for this anime is "sloppy."

The story revolves around a group of school kids who must navigate a death game. The game involves finding mailboxes and laptops to submit yes or no questions. If the emperor likes a question, they can ask it, but he will kill the majority group each time. There are backstories, unique power cards people can find, a group of "bad guys," and some emperor who runs all this.

None ... of it is logical, which can be okay, but the way he delivers the plot and all the backstories is very sloppy.

I think there is a lot of potential for something like this to be great. I bet the Web manga is impressive, but this adaptation is a hot mess.

All other aspects are rather average: animation, music, etc... It is just a world of mediocracy.
