A television anime adaptation of Shichio Kuzu's Mushoku no Eiyuu: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattan da ga (The Hero Who Has No Class. No Need Any Skills, It's Okay.) light novel was announced by the official X (Twitter) account of the Comic Earth Star web magazine on Thursday.

Kuzu began penning the action adventure novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2017. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the series under its Earth Star Novel imprint the following July, featuring illustrations by Yumehito Ueda (True Tears). The fourth volume went on sale in June 2019.

Comic Earth Star began serializing a manga adaptation by Akio Nanae in November 2018. The sixth volume shipped last May, with the seventh volume planned for an October 12 release.

Synopsis
"Classes" are given at the age of 10, and the presence or absence of "skills" greatly affects life. Arel, the son of "Sword Princess" Fara and "Magic King" Leon, has been branded as "Classless"... But even without a job or skills, Arel believes he can persevere through effort. (Source: Earth Star Entertainment, translated)

Oh god no. I read a bunch of chapters of the manga of this almost 3 years ago, trying to find out if it had anything special going for it. It didn't.

@Haou-Judai Gundam isn't the only mecha out there and we've gotten a number of such shows over the years. just not a literal super robot. In general, the best way is to simply ignore a genre you don't like if it annoys you. This is much safer than just complaining every time that most people don't share your tastes.

@RobertBobert
True but when we get like 3-4 Isekai/MMORPG anime in every season and maybe 1 mecha in every 2 season that really not big number.
Also Gundam: a New gundam is not big deal. Cuz Gundam is never die series. We always can expect a new anime, Manga, Novel, or game...
it's like mecha version of Precure or super sentai...

@Haou-Judai Mecha has been trending again for a few years now, especially now that Sunrise has tried to revive interest in Gundam. Workplace has always been a trend, it’s like romance or action, an eternal theme.

It's good to see a show trying to do something different instead of the same old generic isekai rubbish.

Wonder when isekai finally die... i hope next trend is something more interesting. Hopefully once again reach a Era where Mecha or Mahou Shoujo become a trend. Or maybe Work Place or Real life problems.

@Ionliosite2 Mahouka took this to its maximum peak or absurdity depending on how you see it, and this show was the same age as SAO and Zero no Tsukaima. So, it was already a cliché by the time isekai or isekai-like shows became a thing. But yep, characters like this are just the Japanese version of the "everydude" protagonist. With the same logic, one can complain that isekai invented the harem, lol.

@Ionliosite2

series like what?

i cant think of any... cause before 2017 it was battle harems, which were far less similar to eachother than these OP/invinsible short black haired MC medieval fantasy anime are

uh... thats why i said "wanna be isekai" lol

Another masterpiece incoming

I speak for everyone when I say we will be watching

@EcchiGodMamster This isn't even a new trend, series like this have been done even before the isekai boom. Actually, it not being an isekai despite coming our nowadays is the surprising part.

Oct 5, 2023 6:47 PM by Ionliosite2

A LN about a guy with short black hair who was originally an underdog only to become OP as he meets his tseudo harem in a medieval fantasy world getting an adaptation???

IM SO HYPE!!!!

Ah yes the new trend... "wanna be isekai"

Japan... plz stop...

Judging by all these LNs with a “skill” premise, living in an RPG world is even easier than in the real one. Alsoo, the illustrator of True Tears? God, how long ago it was.
