'Spy x Family' Season 2, Movie Announce New Production Staff

The Spy x Family special Red stage at AnimeJapan 2023 revealed the staff for the second season and movie on Sunday. The second season will premiere in October 2023, with the Code: White movie opening in theaters on December 22. The stage also revealed a teaser visual for the movie (pictured).

Most of the first season staff are returning for the second season. Ichirou Ookouchi (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) is replacing Kazuhiro Furuhashi for series composition. Daishirou Tanimura (Golden Kamuy script) and Ayumu Hisao (Koroshi Ai) are joining the staff to assist with series composition.

Spy x Family adapts Tatsuya Endou's action comedy manga, which he launched in Shounen Jump+ web magazine in March 2019. Shueisha published the tenth volume on October 4, with the 11th volume scheduled to ship on April 4.

The first anime season produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks aired in split cours in Spring and Fall 2022. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles and subsequently began streaming an English dub.

VIZ Media began publishing the manga in English on its Shounen Jump platform in September 2019 and published the ninth volume on March 21. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also began simulpublishing the manga in English in March 2019.
