The sci-fi psychological manga was serialized in Weekly Shounen Champion from November 2015 to August 2017 and compiled into eight volumes. The five-volume AI no Idenshi: Red Queen sequel manga ran in Bessatsu Shounen Champion from October 2017 to June 2019. Yamada launched a third series, AI no Idenshi: Blue Age, in the same magazine in July 2020. Akita Shoten published the fifth volume on Thursday.

AI no Idenshi ranked among the top 20 manga in the Male Readers' category in the 2016 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings and won the Excellence Award at the 21st Japan Media Arts Festival in 2018.

Synopsis
This science fiction omnibus depicting a doctor who "treats" robot and humanoid problems takes place in the near future, when humanoids with artificial intelligence account for 10% of the population. The main character, Dr. Sudo Hikaru, also has the undercover name Moggadeet, under which he secretly takes on illegal medical procedures. For example, for a man who inadvertently infected his humanoid wife with a computer virus when illegally backing up her data, Sudo proposes an operation to rewrite her memory using backup data. Could an existence replaced by backup data truly be said to be the same as it was before? (Source: Japan Media Arts Festival, edited)

That's... the first time I've seen "for example" in a synopsis. Weird, to say the least.

Anyway, utterly dull PV and character designs, immediate skip.

The visuals in that PV are completely underwhelming

I have no idea what this is or what to expect, but I hope that this will be another Madhouse banger in the making....Especially since it sounds like this series is completed too

First part is completed. Also the second part is finished too. Third part is still ongoing.
Nice nice, sounds promising already

Most basic sci-fi troupe tbh aka question of AI's humanity.
Well, the manga is complete so will it be a complete adaptation is the real question here On further digging it seems it may be kind of episodic (and inspired from black jack) with even a sequal continuation....so don't matter i guess.

I hope that they will completely adapt the first part of the manga. There is second part, AI no Idenshi: Red Queen, which is completed, and the third part, AI no Idenshi: Red Queen, which is ongoing.

Never heard of this before but seems interesting.

Six volumes and science fiction, could this get a full adaptation?

So he's not performing medial procedures but working on machines. I guess he's also not a doctor but an engineer then. Really weird wording in the synopsis. Doesn't sound particularly interesting. If you want to watching something about relations between androids and people, you may just watch Eve no Jikan.

Great! Hope that MADHOUSE is gradually returning to its golden age of animation!

Another one getting fully outsourced to DR Movie although I prefer Tsuchiya's designs here over the police one.
