Nightow continued the original manga under the new title Trigun Maximum in Young King OURs in October 1997 and ended it in March 2007. Shounen Gahousha published the manga in 14 volumes between May 1998 and February 2008 and later in seven volumes from February and September in 2010.

Hopefully Milly appears later in the show.

The 3D honestly looks really really good but they got rid of Milly.... why? She's not kawaii enough for you bitches? Fuck man, she was MY representation I love her :( And the designs still
suck!

But I'll watch it, it looks like it'll be decent enough ugh..... I'm so frustrated

The CGI looks good compared to what it could have turned out to be, HOWEVER, when i watched the original (haven't finished) the characters, the old style and everything stood out and was really funny and a nice thing to watch...why redo their character designs to be nothing like the original? why make Vash look like a teen leaving school? and don't get me started on why the HELL they replaced Milly with a MAN...they aren't the iconic duo anymore.

i have nothing against what they're doing, I'm up for watching it! I'd just wished they didn't use CGI and replace their character designs and give this whole different atmosphere.

Still looks a mobile game. If this is what everyone claims to be the pinnacle of CG anime then I'm fucking disappointed. I can't get over the hideous character design for Vash.

It would ended up like saint seiya remake/reboot with CGI.. what's the tittle again? knights of the zodiac or something?!

Who even are these characters? They look so unrecognizable. Nope, I don't think this was a good idea at all. The CGI itself might be fine, but it doesn't suit this universe. I wasn't a super fan of the original anime in particular but I liked its visuals a lot. Now it just looks shallow.

Had hoped to reserve judgement... but trying and absolutely failing to keep my nostalgia in check... am already feeling pangs of disappointment from qualities already lost.

Rip Milly. Rip Meryls edgelord frustrated energy. Rip Vash's wirey jaw and features in favour of Miyazaki softness. Rip Vash's ott joker deamenor overpoweringly covering sad boy energy. Nope, aparently we gonna find out straight away from his emo overwatch boy design.

I hope they can hold that Western-movie style of tension and survival that Trigun so abptly captured in both the manga and the first anime.

The key visual looks totally horrible

Agree with Theo1899's opinion

Why are the character designs so bad holy shit.

Oct 16, 2022 1:09 AM by Theo1899

And straight to the trash bin it goes.

Oct 15, 2022 10:59 PM by Nanaca

Why is the key visual picture so small? It's of limited value at that size and detail.

As I am not a big fan of Trigun it is nice to see that the new show looks way different from the original. People complain about bad comedy but the og had so much terrible comedy too.

Concerning the lack of Milly and how the CGI looks so far I'm iffy on whether or not this will be a strong successor to the original. Orange did well with Beastars, however I felt watching this trailer with the bits of action there was less "impact" during the action scenes, slightly off. If they're able to pull it off I'd be really excited to see the return of Trigun, but so far I am watching with bated breath.

Really excited for this, hope Imahori is involved

Jesus Christ the CGI looks fine. I know shitting on anything CGI is the cool thing to do but this doesn't even look as bad as people are making it out to be. It's like the Chainsaw Man CGI complaints all over again. 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
Probably not, with csm it is more it looks janky. This is studio orange so it will probably be fine. Just look at beastars or houseki not kuni

No, it looks like garbage.

So this basically my dear, is what happens when you as a producer in Japan, spends years chasing production companies, beggin them for a bone, and finally you get the lovest priority opportunity possible to make an anime, and you take what you get, because it's your first project since forever and you need to eat. While you also take the fresh out of the university animators and script writers who tells you what is cool right now, because they surely know the industry well enough.
I really hope that you're trolling lol because to call this garbage is just completely false lol
I watched the trailer multiple times and still don't get what's so terrible about the animation. It's decent at least, and I dare say pretty good considering it's Studio Orange who's working on it (guys behind Beastars and Land of the lustrous). The character movements in both static and action scenes aren't that noticeably choppy or blurry, they blend in fine with the backgrounds which are also competently made, the facial expressions are also alive and not stiff or monotone, a good amount of shading is there. I don't know what other show that has (actually) jarring animation would you even compare it with. Ex-arm CGI? Cestus? Hand Shakers? Aku no hana even?

Everything is perfect
except vash character design

Never watched the original but this looks terrible imo. eh, I might still watch it in hopes that it ends up as a "so bad, it's good" thing.
