Avex Pictures launched an official website for a television anime adaptation of Sai Sumimori's Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyou deshita? (Am I Actually the Strongest?) light novel on Wednesday, revealing a teaser visual (pictured). The anime series is scheduled for a 2023 premiere.

Sumimori began writing the isekai fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2018. Kodansha began releasing the series under its K Ranobe Books label in May 2019, featuring illustrations by Ai Takahashi. The fifth volume shipped last October.

Takahashi began drawing a manga adaptation on the Suiyoubi no Sirius web magazine in April 2019. Kodansha published the sixth volume in November 2021, with the seventh volume scheduled for release on Thursday. The series has a cumulative 1.38 million copies of its volumes in print combined, including digital editions.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in October 2020 and the light novel this March. The sixth manga volume went on sale on April 29. The first novel volume is planned for a November 29 release.

Synopsis
To be reincarnated into another world with the promise of a "cheat" power is one thing... but to be reborn as a baby, and then left for dead after your royal parents think you're powerless?? That's another thing entirely! Now the newly-born Reinhart—or Hart to his new friends—must find his way through a dangerous world...but luckily he's got magic that's quite literally off the charts! You can consider picking up The Eminence In Shadow. An isekai LN with comedy~

Cannot think of isekai with ecchi. Can only think of hentai isekai, JK Haru Is A Sex Worker, reincarnated to be a sex worker~

To the studios: Maybe it's time to find something else to adapt. Start a new trend, anime fans are itching for a new trend in anime.

seriously, I don't think the novel will get an anime adaptation

I kinda like this premise.....Being abandoned as a baby and then having to come up on your own like an underdog (Even tho you're OP as hell). This should be a fun watch for me

Ill-treated underdog yet turns out to be OP. Bonus: There are cute girls in Maid outfits on the cover.

Cookie cutter recipe for easy bucks xD

muh generic isekai, i hate this too but can we come up better insults next time? I feel like people have saying the same thing since 2019

So like, the main characters only character trait is that he is overpowered? There is literally nothing noteworthy about him? What even is the point then. Isekai anime can be really good, but this one feels like it isn't even trying anymore.

Oh brother another cheat power isekai. This trend will never die 💀💀💀

I hope this 1 not get bad CGI like kenja no deshi and not skip comedy slice of life part and make it like another action only anime.

I'm not the one to judge an anime by it's premise alone, but damn. This showes so little promise.

Woo another isekai. Honestly thou when will this end pretty much all of them are low/average at best.

I lurk in the LN communities, never heard of this LN.

Well, a lot of fantasy LN has either “strongest”, “overpowered”, or “cheat” in their titles~

EDIT: Most honest LN title:

I swear, at this point Isekai is worth watching, only if it has ecchi or at least some good comedy. The stories are literally AI generated.

Oh splendid, another fucking absoulte dogshit cancer trash isekai coming out, looking at a isekai to me, is like being a stage v cancer patient being gangraped honestly and please dear composer of shibuya end this cringe once and for all.
