An anime project for Nana Nanana's Danjo no Yuujou wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) (Can a Boy and Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can't!!)) light novel was announced by publishing company Kadokawa on Wednesday. Illustrator Parum drew a special illustration commemorating the announcement (pictured).

Nanana began penning the romantic comedy light novel—abbreviated as Danjoru—through Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint last January, featuring illustrations by Parum. The fifth volume went on sale on Wednesday. The light novel has a cumulative 200,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Monthly Dengeki Daioh began serializing a manga adaptation by Kamelie in August 2021. Kadokawa shipped the first volume on May 9.

Synopsis
A boy and a girl pledge lifelong friendship in a small town junior high school. The relationship between the two, who are destined to share a common dream, has passed two years without any particular development.

Himari Inuzuka, a bubbly girl who has yet to find her first love, and Yuu Natsume, a plant-loving boy who enjoys flowers, still spend their days peacefully as best friends in the gardening club in the second year of high school.

"If Yuu can't get married, I have to take responsibility."
"I'm having trouble now because after Himari said that, your brother began calling me 'My brother-in-law!'"

However, when Yuu reunites with his first crush, the gears of their relationship suddenly go out of sync! Will Himari be able to escape her "ideal friend" now that she has found love?

No thank you. I hate the lazy trend of having them be a couple from the very beginning.

Lazy? It takes more effort to make a story out of a couple than it is to delay two people from being a couple.

This is seems like another generic romcom with lame jokes that probably will go nowhere
how would you know that? This series to me seems unique cause the main girl has all the physical traits of a losing girl. blue colored short haired childhood friend, this could be a chance for that trait to actually win, i think this was the intention of the author for making her the heroine.

I don't I'm just speculating, my opinion may change later on... who knows

That they make a good romance and not something simple like the others.

Another romcom? We seem to be getting alot of romcom adapatations lately or a bunch are being announced lately. But then again, I'll take the romcom rather than those crappy isekais we get every season.

Are you fucking kidding me? It was only a week or 2 ago that I brought up how dreadful it would be when Light Novels started shoving brackets into their titles. Christ, this gets worse and worse.
I'm starting to just have less expectations and/or hardly any interest for light novel adaptations at this point.

Blue colored short haired childhood friend? Those are massive flags! Girls like that tend to lose.

Now that she is the main girl, this could be a chance for the unwinnable to actually win?! We'll see tho, im interested.

Another seemingly generic high school romcom. I’m tired boss.

me2 i hate romcom where both are already a couple or become one very fast i like the slow paced way more like oregairu since it looks more natural

I got a little confused by the brackets used for the English title, lol.

Synopsis seems somewhat interesting but I’m almost it’ll get that typical rushed ln adaption.

Judging by the synopsis, this is just a reverse version of the typical story about a new girl vs a childhood friend.
