Synopsis
Ever since their father died, Ichirou Kuga has struggled to support his two younger siblings on nothing but a small inheritance and his passion for drawing manga. But it's becoming harder to keep up with his growing responsibilities and deadlines, especially after his last two assistants quit to follow their dreams. Just as he’s nearing his breaking point, the beautiful and scarily competent Shiori Goshiki applies to become his new assistant. But there’s something almost otherworldly about Goshiki, and soon Kuga finds his reality turned upside down when she suddenly declares them engaged to marry! (Source: Kodansha USA)

Why are the Japanese so obsessed with the idea of a sudden engagement? Is this some kind of trend or fetish?

Dull premise, and one clearly made to satisfy a specific fantasy I don't have. Pass.

oof, that's one shitty studio lol.

In any case I had a good time with Amaama to Inazuma from the same author back when it aired many years ago (feelsoldman) so I'm gonna give it a chance
Did not realize that this is from the creator of Sweetness and Lightning (A series that I fucking ADORED because of how wholesome and just sweet the relationships between the characters were in that) so now I'm hyped

Sadly only 8 chapters out so far, but this is a pretty cute manga. I wanna know more about Goshiki and her origin! Anime is probably gonna show that, I guess.
