 Publisher Kodansha opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Gido Amagakure's Otonari ni Ginga (A Galaxy Next Door) manga on Wednesday. The website also revealed the main staff, cast, and a teaser visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2023.Taku Yashiro (Kakushigoto (TV)) and Yuu Wakui (Sansha Sanyou) are starring as Ichirou Kuga and Shiori Goshiki, respectively. Staff Director: Ryuuichi Kimura (Kemono Friends 2, Aikatsu!) Series Composition: Gigaemon Ichikawa (Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei, Gegege no Kitarou (2018) script) Character Design: Tomoka Ootaki (Dolls' Frontline sub-character design, Namu Amida Butsu!: Rendai Utena animation director) Studio: Asahi Production Amagakure began serializing the romantic comedy manga in good! Afternoon magazine in April 2020. Kodansha shipped the third volume on November 5. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga on July 1 last year and released the first volume on April 26, with the second volume scheduled to ship on July 5. Synopsis Ever since their father died, Ichirou Kuga has struggled to support his two younger siblings on nothing but a small inheritance and his passion for drawing manga. But it's becoming harder to keep up with his growing responsibilities and deadlines, especially after his last two assistants quit to follow their dreams. Just as he’s nearing his breaking point, the beautiful and scarily competent Shiori Goshiki applies to become his new assistant. But there’s something almost otherworldly about Goshiki, and soon Kuga finds his reality turned upside down when she suddenly declares them engaged to marry!
