Light Novel 'Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha' Gets TV Anime
The Overlap Bunko 9th Anniversary Online Event announced a television anime adaptation of Yuu Okano's Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha (The Unwanted Undead Adventurer) light novel on Sunday. The event also revealed a commemorative illustration (pictured above) and an announcement promo.
Synopsis
Rentt Faina, a twenty-five-year-old adventurer, has been hacking away at monsters for a decade. Without much talent for the job, Rentt finds himself stuck hunting slimes and goblins for meager amounts of coin every day. Little does he know, all this is about to change when he comes across a seemingly undiscovered path in the Water Moon Dungeon.
What awaits him at the end of the path, however, is neither treasure nor riches, but a legendary dragon that wastes no time swallowing him whole! Waking up a short time later, Rentt finds himself not quite dead, but not very alive either―He is nothing more than a pile of bones! Armed with nothing but his trusty sword, tool belt, and ghoulish new looks, Rentt sets off on his quest as a newly reborn skeleton to achieve Existential Evolution, hoping to one day return to civilization with a more human form.
Will Rentt succeed, or will the dungeon consume him for the rest of his un-death...? (Source: J-Novel Club)
Okano began penning the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2016. Overlap began printing the novel with illustrations by Jaian the following October. The ninth volume shipped last June, with the tenth volume scheduled to go on sale on April 25. Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha has a cumulative 1.4 million copies of its light novel and manga volumes in print, including digital editions.
Haiji Nakasone began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in November 2017. Overlap released the eighth volume last November, with the ninth volume scheduled for an April 25 release.
J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English in February 2018 and April 2019, respectively. The ninth novel volume and seventh manga volume went on sale in November and December last year.

He's not broken OP like Ainz or Arc and this isn't an isekai either.
Also Lorraine's hair color is not silver, but light/platinum blonde.

Too many skulls. Bring some other species mc like lizardman or snakeman or something like that.
The reason is skull looks cooler than other species. Snakeman and lizardman all looks cringy. No other reason.
We need some cringy looking mc too. I don't want every show to look too cool. It just too superficial and boring after a point.

See, that's far more interesting than any moronic ooh-I'm-a-skeleton-now shite is, it actually has a chance with that, almost making it sound halfway intriguing.
