Netflix Announces 'Lady Napoleon' Original Anime Series

Netflix Japan announced a new 13-episode original anime series titled Lady Napoleon on Tuesday. The main staff and a visual (pictured above) were also revealed.

Synopsis
The action fantasy anime follows Sophie, a descendant of Napoleon and leader of the Lady Napoleon organization, who fights for world domination. With her butler, named Butler, and the martial artist master Guy, Sophie travels around the world to collect the three sacred treasures left by Napoleon.

Noriaki Akitaya (Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo, Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari) is helming the anime at animation studio Zero-G (Grand Blue, Tenkuu Shinpan). Prolific manga creator Shin Kibayashi (Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, GetBackers) is penning the original story.

Netflix announced last February that the company was partnering with six Japanese creators to develop new anime originals, including Kibayashi.

I agree with this. I generally prefer male mcs in anime anyway but don’t mind some anime where female is main mc, but if she’s narcissistic then screw this.

I can never fully trust Netflix anime originals, so I'll wait for the PV to come out. Honestly, Netflix should just quit. License existent anime, that's all we're asking for, or adapt from mangas.
