Manga 'Mou Ippon!' Receives Anime Adaptation
An anime adaptation of Yuu Muraoka's Mou Ippon! ("Ippon" again!) manga was announced on the 32nd issue of Weekly Shounen Champion magazine on Thursday.Synopsis
After performing in their final middle school judo tournament, Michi and Sanae begin high school and walk in on Michi's final opponent fighting to save their new high school's judo club. (Source: Akita Shoten, translated)
Muraoka began serializing the martial arts manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in October 2018. Akita Shoten also began posting the chapters on its Manga Cross web magazine in April 2019.
The first compiled volume was published under the Shounen Champion Comics imprint in Japan in February 2019. Akita Shoten shipped the 13th volume on Thursday, which also features the anime announcement on its wraparound band. Mou Ippon! was nominated for the fifth Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards in 2019.

True, its not just some cheap fanservice, you can see the effort in a lot of pages, also, I love this type of comedy

Nice! Style is pretty good, gotta catch up with the last chapters, I think there's only 2 or 3 chaps on the web Im reading it

Comparisons to Yawara are logical, but personally I would compare it to the judo version of the Bamboo Blade.
