Main Cast for 'Platinum End' Announced

The official website of the Platinum End television anime revealed its main cast on Wednesday. The anime is set to premiere on TBS and other channels in October 2021.

Mirai Kakehashi: Miyu Irino (Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito)

Nasse: Yui Ogura (Goblin Slayer)

Hideya Takahashi (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze, Keijo!!!!!!!!) is helming the anime at Signal.MD. Shinichi Inotsume (Gangsta.) is handling the series composition and Kouji Oodate (No Game No Life) is drawing the character designs.

The anime is based on Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's psychological drama manga, which began in Jump SQ. in November 2015 and ended on January 4. Shueisha published the 13th volume on September 4, with the 14th and final volume scheduled for release on February 4.

Very excited for Miyu voicing a MC in an Anime series (it's been way too long). Even though the original work doesn't seem to be as well received as Death Note or Bakuman, I'm going to give this a shot. I've started reading the Manga since I heard about this news.
Tbh, I wished the MC would be a bit more dark or twisted, we rarely get Miyu voicing a character like that and he can certainly do them (Akito, Vanitas, Nr.96)

The guy from Ano Hana as MC will bring back me bad memories of an always whining character. Good choice for a guy who tries to kill himself I guess.

After starting the Manga the MC from Koe no Katachi rather comes to my mind who is also a suicidal and depressed character.

Well, no matter which voice actor it is you would still want to watch the anime. Take it from someone who read half the manga this anime is gonna be epic with death note vipes considering it is from the same authors ( Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata ) who made death note.

Prepare yourselves for the same type of psychological thriller you felt watching death note guys. Even without me telling you any of this you would be able to feel the similar 'God Complex of yagami light' in a certain character in Platinum End which actually shows that ohba and obata remain true to their theme of dark psychological thriller.

I probably gonna rate this anime 10/10 if SingalM.D's adaptation of the manga is perfect without a hitch.

I have to admit. When I saw Miyu-Miyu's name on the news page yesterday (when it was first posted), I got excited even before seeing the title for the anime he's going to voice for. It makes me want to watch the anime (since I have ZERO knowledge on the series).

I haven't heard much about Yui Ogura in a while, also she's voicing another angel, which I hope is a good character because Hiyori left a hell of a bad taste in my mouth. It's making me want to watch.

Man, its been a while we saw Miyu Irino in a lead role in an anime (outside of Osomatsu-san).

nasse looks good, not as detailed as in the manga but still good. I dropped the manga but I will watch the anime for a weekly dose of comedy

Really fitting cast. Because Mamoru Miyano (Light's voice actor from Death Note) performed Riku from Kingdom Hearts, Miyu Irino is Sora from same title. Light is evil but Mirai is good man. This contrast is similar to Riku and Sora.
