Talent agency Just Production Inc. announced on Friday that it ended its contract with voice actor Mark Ishii so that he may receive treatment for adjustment disorder. Ishii's voice acting career is on indefinite hiatus while he recovers.

In a statement on Twitter, Ishii explained that he began experiencing high amounts of stress and panic around November and was diagnosed with adjustment disorder in December. After discussing the matter with his doctors and Just Production, it was determined that he would take a leave of absence. He is seeking treatment and hopes to return to voice acting as soon as possible.

Ishii made his anime voice acting debut in July 2014 as Sayaka's brother Takeshi in Omoide no Marnie. His other roles include Chrono Shindou in Cardfight Vanguard G and Lev Haiba in Haikyuu!! Second Season. His most recent role was Kautz in the 2018 ONA Otona no Bouguya-san.

Ishii was scheduled to appear at the Voice Actor Rakugo Tenguren Festival in January 2020, but his appearance has been cancelled.

You left this out? Probably his most notable role. Not very good work on this article.

Adjustment disorder is no laughing matter. College students in their first year are prone to it and there have been cases where people ended up with depression or even killed themselves. I hope he will get well soon.
