'Psycho-Pass 3' Unveils New Cast, Key Visual, Second Promo

The official website of the Psycho-Pass anime series revealed new characters, theme song performers, a new key visual (pictured), and a second promotional video for the third season on Friday.

The new anime season will premiere on Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block on October 25 at 12:55 a.m., and air in eight episodes, each running for an hour. A special program for the anime series will air on October 18. Amazon's Prime video service will stream the anime exclusively and debut the first episode ahead of the television premiere on October 24 after 12:00 a.m. The subsequent episodes will steam an hour after the television broadcast.

Youki Daigin: Hiroshi Naka (World Trigger)
Seika Houhan: Mamoru Miyano (Aoi Bungaku Series)
Karina Komiya: Yoko Hikasa (Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV)
Chiya Obata: Sayuri Yahagi (Steins;Gate 0)
Round Robin: Toshiyuki Morikawa (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen)
Sayako Saienji: Atsuko Tanaka (ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka)
Kouichi Azusawa: Kenyuu Horiuchi (Garo: Honoo no Kokuin)

Yuki Kaji (Black Bullet) and Yuuichi Nakamura (Guilty Crown) will star as the protagonists Arata Shindou and Kei Mikhail Ignatov. respectively.

Returning cast members include Tomokazu Seki as Kougami Shinya, Kana Hanazawa as Akane Tsunemori, Kenji Nojima as Nobuchika Ginoza, Miyuki Sawashiro as Shion Karanomori, Shizuka Itou as Yayoi Kunizuka, and Ayane Sakura as Mika Shimotsuki, among others.

Who-ya Extended will perform the opening theme "Q-vism," while J-pop rock band Cö shu Nie will perform the ending theme "bullet."

Naoyoshi Shiotani is reprising his director role for the third season at Production I.G, with Tow Ubukata once again handling the series composition. Naoyuki Onda is reprising as the character designer and chief animation director. Yugo Kanno is also returning as the music composer.

The original 22-episode Psycho-Pass anime series premiered in Fall 2012, which was followed by an 11-episode second season by Tatsunoko Production in Fall 2014. The Psycho-Pass anime film opened in Japan in January 2015.

The franchise also released a Sinners of the System film trilogy, the first of which opened on January 25. The second and third film premiered on February 15 and March 8, respectively.

^ looks like a black and white theme (guessing). Not so knowledgeable about psycho pass but I take it that they are presenting us with two hot guys as main protagonist. This for me already works better than psycho pass 2.

He still is an exceptional and well-regarded sound director in the Japanese animation industry regardless whatever your perception of him is... I also really doubt you know more about sound directing than a professional that has worked as one in this industry for more than a decade to even question why he still has a job. So, just stop it…

Finally, he has been the sound director of this series since the very beginning. Are you even aware of that? or are you just one of those fools that speak before researching and looking at things? Honestly, I don’t care…

Does only watching Urobuchi composed seasons make me edgy or is it the other way around? Any Psychopass is better than the garbage from the rest of the year.

they sure made a bold decision changing the main lead that now make me curious to check out. but still not fan of the character designs of the series especially the newer ones here.

All four LTS songs for psycho pass have been amazing. Other than the second season of high score girl, the new psycho pass op was the only thing I was looking forward to in the fall season. Sigh.

Btw, yuki kaji previously voiced alpha in psycho pass mandatory happiness and this time he voiced main character + mao's design is similiar with yayoi with black suit, black tie and black pants
