Broadcast Delay Announced for 'Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3' and 'Tsukumogami Kashimasu' TV Anime
The official Twitter accounts for Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 and Tsukumogami Kashimasu have announced that the 11th episode of the respective series will be delayed due to typhoon Trami that hit Japan today. NHK G, which broadcast both series, will instead broadcast news coverage of the typhoon during their scheduled time slots. Both of the delayed episodes will return next Monday.
Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 is the third TV anime adaptation of the manga with the same title. The series is both written and drawn by Hajime Isayama, who has released a total of 26 compiled volumes, with the latest volume on August 9 of this year. Wit Studio have animated the all of anime adaptations, including the third season which is currently airing on NHK G at Mondays at 12:35 a.m.
Tsukumogami Kashimasu is a novel series written and illustrated by Megumi Hatakenaka and is released via Kadokawa Shoten since September 2007. A manga adaptation of the series, with illustrations by Nana Kogami, has been serialized via Comic B's-LOG magazine since July 5 of this year. The novel received two sequel stories which were released in March 2013 and 2018, respectively. Telecom Animation Film is currently animating the anime adaptation, which airs on NHK G at Mondays at 12:10 a.m.

Why doesn't this shortage prevents series like MHA, JoJo, Black Clover and SAO from getting more than two cours? There are so many freelancer animators, so could it be that the reason why snk nevers gets 25 episodes is that WIT is the worst studio ever in terms of how they treat their animators?
With those series they already have a pre-established team and arranged things, potentially. Plus, connections might be a thing as well with a vast majority of the titles.
WIT isn't the worst studio, just that the committee are having them on a lock-on by comparison which limits things, and as I said, they have other series to go and manage. Not really their fault tbh, they're just assigned thanks to the committees giving them series and again they can't handle more.
Technically S3 has 25 episodes, it's just a split cour which is a much better idea just so the people aren't pressured by the fact that they have to go through development hell at that point. And I mean technically, as in it's S3 still, just that it's taking a break. Doing it as a 2-cour will kill people at that point. So the best way to go through is of course going split than two-cour. It's just pressuring schedules and not giving enough time to work with etc.
I always thought that WIT's problems with schedules and deadlines were entirely their fault, thanks for the insight.

Yeah, uh.
Ignoring the shortage of animators to work on the series, ignoring that as the time passed by the industry has gotten even more haywire for working on the series, etc.
Even with that. They had the Pokemon Movie (which got released around spring season), Kabaneri S2, Koi wa Ameagari, MahoYome, etc. They can't handle more than 2 shows because of their shortages and the pressure of the schedules, that's all I'm saying.
And well thepath said something that wasn't even important and even if it was its relatively flawed because of what I explained above.

WIT didn't do anything for spring afaik, so they should've had plenty of time to prepare for aot...
Yeah, uh.

You do realize that's not really important as of this moment right? And besides, even with that in mind AoT is going through hell-schedule so going through split-cour was the best option rather than going to 24 episodes, considering how hellish the studio's staff are going through so. If we talk about that.
Though with that being said though I hope the people that are over there are okay... but yeah this sounds really bad, prayers for Japan from my end.

no, whats worst is if they force to continue airing until 24 episodes since there is gonna be a lot of action on the next arc so they need more production time to do good quality animation of those action scenes
