It depends how important the disc sales are. Some have had under 2000 per volume and still had sequels green-lit due to revenue in other areas.
But, as a very general rule, a modestly successful anime will usually average around 3000-5000 in sales per volume. Anything above 10,000 is very successful, and at 20,000, you're getting into the point where the title is likely to be generating appeal well beyond the typical anime demographics. 50,000 per volume is pushing more towards cultural phenomenon.
To put it into a business perspective, we're looking at upwards of $3 million in sales for just the first disc (of 6). That's itself about what a decently-produced 12-episode series costs to make (which this is roughly equivalent to). So, maintaining this level, they'll almost certainly end up with significant profits just from disc sales, and that's only a portion of total revenue.
Bandai bought studio actas because girls und panzer, they are going to make almost for sure new material. I would say that das finale is the final for the current characters, but not for the franchise

51,274 isn't that a really good number ? what is the average bluray sale for a successful anime ?

55k is pretty great for what's essentially a 2 episode OVA.

I loved the first episode! Half of the episode turned out to be pointless but it was still so good (the pointless part included)!
This is the first time i saw Love Live! Sales actually lost with such a huge margin!! And i never even watch what anime that number 1 is
There are two things that are common between Girls und Panzer and Love Love.
1. Both are household titles in Japanese Anime industry.
2. Both uses the same premise.

It is higher than average numbers for a movie and really high comparing to average TV anime sales. though,. I hoped for 100k.
