I'm surprised to see Zoku Touken Ranbu. Most of the non-japanese people didn't enjoy it but I am glad that at least Japan does. I enjoyed it myself and I'm glad to see that it gets the love it deserves

@Swagernator Oh, okay, that works as a term. Then other Pick Your Moe shows like Girls und Panzer and Strike Witches could also be considered to have the idol aspect (ignoring that Strike Witches is going to literally have singing idols an upcoming spinoff).

The "Idol aspect" is still what sells, same as in FGO, Kancolle, and other shows/games with group of girls each with special "skills", quirks, and such.

He dropped it at 4 episodes, may not realize how much PA Works downplayed and ignored the idol aspect after the beginning.

Uma Musume was surprisingly good, so I'm glad it's doing well in sales

Those Uma Musume sales though........It truly deserves it. The show was surprisingly good and it actually focused on horse racing. The series was a perfect candidate for heavy fanservice shit but thank god, they went a different route for this one.

Haha this one again...most anime that sells well dont sell because of the anime itself its those added bonuses that get the consumer. But lets treat Uma Musume as a rare case for the new guys following sales.

Bahamut Virgin Soul flopped even with GBF bonuses so the anime itself is important.
A part of the sales is going to horse stables too, not like cygames need bd money though.

I’m happy for Uma Musume. It’s a very good anime and takes itself very seriously despite the weird premise
