Lead Staff of TV Anime 'Goblin Slayer' Announced

The Hakuhodo DY Music and Pictures booth at this year's AnimeJapan event revealed the first preview for the Goblin Slayer anime series on Thursday, as well as the main staff members. Produced by White Fox, the anime is slated to premiere in 2018.

Series Composition: Hideyuki Kurata (Drifters)
Script: Hideyuki Kurata, Yousuke Kuroda (Jormungand)
Character Design: Takashi Nagayoshi (Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho animation director)

Mili is performing the opening theme "Mob mentality."

Written by Kumo Kagyuu with illustrations by Noboru Kannatsuki, Goblin Slayer has been published under the GA Bunko label since February 2016. SB Creative released the novel's seventh volume on March 14. A manga adaptation drawn by Kousuke Kurose began its serialization in Big Gangan magazine in May 2016, which has four volumes in print with the latest shipped on March 13.

Yen Press licensed the series for North American distribution and released the fourth novel volume and the first manga volume on December 19 last year.

Heard this is edgy as hell (and not in a good way), on the other hand, the staff behind it is really good (SSR was a masterpiece), so I'm kinda torn... We'll see.

The PV was kinda weird, but I liked the art style, it was pretty over the top xdd. The opening song gave me Berserk vibes, which is good cause this will be a pretty brutal anime. The staff is very fittingly chosen, looks like White Fox is really trying to do something with this adaptation. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Is it too much for me to hope for a Spring 2018 release...??

There's difference between lacking brightness & lacking sunlight. There's a way to make a scene lacking sunlight yet still has enough brightness.

If this is going to be a 2 cour, I just hope White Fox won't do the same thing they did to Akame ga Kill. The anime (1-19) followed the manga til they changed it around episode 20 to episode 24.

Anyways, I'm just so hyped as fuck, can't wait to see the Goblin Slayer vs the "GK" scene animated.
